   Stopped by today as a last-ditch effort to find my son school shoes that fit his wide feet, my first time in this shop. While the shop was busy with an end-of-season sale all of the associates were polite and helpful, clearly communicating if there was a queue and how soon it would be to be helped. A special thank you to Reno who was patient with myself and my son, instructed my son on using a shoehorn, and helped us find shoes that put a smile on a young man's face.

   Hotter shoes are generally excellent for make and fit but my recent experience of trainers is poor. I got a pair of Leanne II about 2 years ago and they are so comfy I opted for them when I needed to replace them. Not a good experience . Despite going for the same size and width, I ended up with a serious heel blister on the first outing. The laces are about 3/4 the length of my old shoes and the tongue is much stiffer and less comfortable. Adding insult to injury, as I had worn them outside (once only in dry clean conditions) I was unable to obtain a refund. How are customers supposed to determine how a shoe will suit them if they can’t use them in a normal outside experience?

   Went into Hotters at Kingston on Thames on Saturday 23rd November 2024 and was greeted by a really wonderful young lady called Imogen. I explained how I suffer with swollen feet and ankles and am unable to wear the many pairs of hotter shoes and boots I own. She listened to my needs and went above and beyond in helping me. She was empathic, caring, genuine and nothing was too much trouble. This member of staff is an absolute credit to Hotters, the service and trouble she took was exemplary. She sold me 1 pair of boots and I also ordered another pair in black. My feet aren't cold, I'm comfortable and I had a very touching experience with an absolutely amazing member of staff.    I've visited a few times since lockdown ended, with my 80 year old mum. All the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful - I've never seen service like it! I'm always happy to look in-store, however their Head Office is only sending size 5 or 6 shoes currently, so that's great for my mum, but not me. That's not the fault of the sales staff, who are as frustrated as I am, as a customer. The staff always advise that I can order on-line, but I would rather try-before-I-buy. How can the staff be expected to make profits for Hotter if Hotter aren't sending the store a wider range of sizes? A ridiculous situation for all concerned.

   Have bought several Hotter shoes and boots and am very happy with them. Went to the Kingston branch today and was very unhappy with the sales person. They were disinterested, sullen and rude. We were given no help or service. It’s a shame because the other assistant was helping others and couldn’t do enough.

   I am always very happy with the service I receive from the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff - 10/10 - and I always leave absolutely satisfied. I do like the shop layout, mirrors and furniture; they're lovely and stylish. The look and feel of the place is far from an ordinary shoe shop. I am amazed at the extreme comfort and fit of Hotter's shoes; never have I owned anything so comfortable (I own three pairs). Wide fit shoes are also available which is great if, like me, you struggle to find wide fitting comfortable shoes elsewhere.
