A lady called Brooklyn has left a 1 star review which I wanted to clear up as I was also a customer when her and her daughter were in the salon. It is a false review that is not honest. She showed the man a design, no nail salon will have the exact colours in photos but will do their best to match. The man did a tester on the nail of her daughter to ensure she liked it, her mum Brooklyn, also agreed this was closest to the colour her daughter wanted. The man she is complaining about asked her daughter multiple times was she sure she wanted that colour before he continue to do the full service. She said yes. I was relaxing in the pedicure seat and heard him repeatedly ask her if she was happy and she continued to say yes. When her nails were finished, she showed her mum and must have made a remark about It not being the same. Brooklyn has then said it wasn’t the same as what she was shown DESPITE her agreeing it was closest to the image her daughter wanted when the man did the tester. This review is ridiculous and malicious. Despite the scenario being entirely their fault, the salon manager kindly offered to redo them. To me it seems she simply wanted them doing for free so kicked up a fuss. The salon handled this well. I heard and saw everything. Don’t believe everything you read. If you’ve read this far, this is my latest set of nails done by the lovely lady who always does mine. She has been doing nails for 20 years so she is an expert and will always advise from her professional perspective for example if they are too long and would easily break, or too short for the design. I have a large strong dog I walk daily and never had issues with nails popping off UNLESS they are due to be infilled and I’ve left them 4 weeks. That is normal. It’s up to you to maintain your nails to ensure they don’t break. I also use my hands daily for work using heavy camera equipment and never had issues. They are strong; beautiful and always last me ages. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my nails. After shopping around, this is my favourite place.
I have been going here for the last 14 years for anything from eyebrow waxing, lash extensions, or nails. They are not big on nail designs(art), just basic designs, but my nails were always neatly done. Prices are affordable, and staff are extremely friendly and polite. Massive shoutout to Kat, who did an amazing job on my nails. She also gave good advice on designs. Tony, who always does my pedicures. You literally feel like you are walking on clouds once he has finished. I do try to avoid their busy periods and usually go there between half 9 and 13:00 during weekdays. Yes, I would recommend it.
IF YOU WANT TO PAY FOR YOUR NAILS TO BE DESTROYED, VISIT THIS PLACE! I went on Sunday 08/06/2025 to have my nails removed. I was very clear that I didn’t want my nails cut and wanted to keep the length that I had been growing for the last two months. The first thing the man did was cut off one of my nails. When I highlighted this he said “he was going to cut all my nails off so they were all the same length and that they would be thin and break off” to which I said “do not cut my nails”. He then had an attitude and was being vindictive by over drilling the ends of my nails to purposely make them thin so he could prove a point. I had to then ask him not to drill the ends of my nails. I now have weird curved shaped nails on one hand (see picture of my normal shaped nail vs the nail tip he purposely drilled).
I had an amazing experience at Fairy Nails!! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxing, and beautifully decorated. I got a French infill and the attention to detail was outstanding. The nail technician took the time to shape my nails perfectly and made sure I was happy every step of the way.
I’ve been to this nail salon 3 times, and 2/3 of those times my nails have been left brittle and damaged. I’ve had nails on 2-3 weeks before without the nail bruising or splitting underneath so I’m not sure if the product is safe for the nail bed. They take off your nails with a false nail as it’s the quickest option but if I’m honest it’s not great for your nail beds health. My nails have split in half on 2 occasions which 2-4 nails split and the rest had pressure damage, and my toe nails have experienced brittleness and on an occasion a nail fell completely out. I understand you can get damaged nails from hitting them but that barely happens to me. When the product was settling on my nails it had a burning sensation to it.On another note the employees (depending on who) can be quite abrupt and aggressive when handling your hands, I.e pulling your hands in an aggressive manner. I wouldn’t recommend.
worst nail shop i have been too. my usual tec was booked so had to go here. -Aggressive. -Bad shape. -Dust underneath the clear coat of my nails. -Made my nails bleed. -Said they take cash and card but only take cash. -Made me move seats multiple times inbetween my service. -Aggressively pushed my hands down when i flinched from the pain and laughed it off. -My nails already look like they need an infill after 4 days.
Very disappointed with what I got and i'm not the type of person to leave a bad review but here we go. They asked me if I wanted gel colour and I said yes, came to the painting and I asked for a green French tip design. The gentleman doing my nails did such a horrendous job that I had to ask another lady to fix it. Even the fix was bad, ill attach a photo of the end result. It was patchy and had messy lines. They made me feel so uncomfortable when i said i was unhappy with the sub-par nail design. She was throwing my hands around and kissing her teeth. Crazy. I've never experiences customer service like it. Even if they can do nice nails on occasion, from the experience I had, I would not recommend. Beside from the nial design the shape was also wonky, assymetric and the sides were overfiled. Standard acrylic with gel colour is advertised at £30 but they charged me an extra £8 for this rubbish design. They also cut me and butchered my cuticle beds. Never again.
These people are really good at what they do and offer a vast range of treatments, eye lashes, tinting, pedicure, nails and waxing. The gent in there always looks after me and does my nails perfectly, they are not cheap but the best in the area!
My daughter came here to have her nails done for the first time, and left unhappy. Actually saying never again! Extortionate prices, did her nails so small and more smaller after filing. Look horrible for what design She to get done, but not on small nails for £55!! Will not recommend to no one. It’s not nice at all making your costumers uncomfortable to feel like they shouldn’t say to u they not happy with the nails
