Simply shocking experience. Kitchen staff are too busy talking and being rude whilst I’m waiting for over 15 minutes for my food. I came in during my lunch break last month and the staff that work in the kitchen of this branch are absolutely appalling, the manager needs to seriously look into this matter further.
I have been visiting the German Doner Kebab store in Twickenham regularly, but my experience has been inconsistent at best. The food is very hit or miss. Some weeks the meat and chips are dry, while other weeks they are excessively oily and greasy. Considering the store is often not busy, the lack of consistency is disappointing. On a positive note, the lady at the till is polite and accommodating. However, customer service overall leaves much to be desired. On two separate occasions, one staff member has been dismissive and unprofessional. While I was waiting by the counter to order, he insisted that I use the order pad instead, repeating that it would be quicker. I explained that I did not mind waiting, yet he continued to push me away from the counter. This behaviour comes across as lazy, unaccommodating, and a clear sign of poor listening skills. It is clear from numerous other reviews that customer service is a recurring issue at this branch. Unfortunately, my own experiences confirm this. Until consistency in food quality and a genuine focus on customer service are addressed, this location does not meet the standard expected.
Very disappointed. I used to love GDK. The kebabs used to be the best in town, absolutely delicious, but I stopped going to GDK a while ago because quality & taste had gone downhill. However, I decided to give it another ago today. What a disappointment. The kebab was one of the worst (if not the worst) I ever had. The chicken was super dry (it looked like extremely thin streaky bacon), there was next to no sauce and hardly any lettuce & cabbage. The toasted waffle bread, which used to be so good, was thick and barely toasted. Terrible kebab!!
Good atmosphere, air conditioned seating area, quick polite service. The dona kebabs were good, could do with being hotter (temperature). Otherwise enjoy by all. Ordered the Boss box, kcal kebab and doner box with fries, additional drinks. £32 total
Today 12/06/2022 i visited GDK Twinckenham just to have my favourite Donner Panini from GDK, i did take away (receipt is attached) but when i came back home and started eating i was very much disappointed as the food was not of even good quality, bread was burnt( tastes bitter that’s why) and there was barely some mix donner inside half of the bread was empty, believe me i was much disappointed as i like GDK alot and I travelled all the way from Sunbury just to have my favourite food but all in vain. I have attached the pictures as a proof also.
We have ordered from German Doner several times and they consistently come short in terms of the amount of meat and salad they provide yet still charge for extras. They used to have an option to add extra beef but now that option has been removed from deliveroo so be warned that you will basically get maybe 3-4 strands of doner meat and barely any salad. They also never answer the phone. Customer service is weak at best.
Good customer service and a nice area to sit and eat - not like a typical takeaway shop. I ordered the donor durum wrap meal and spring rolls to share. It was nice but my wrap had more salad than chicken in it. They got part of my cousins order wrong. I'm not clamouring to go back, it was ok.
A very uncomfortable situation like this happened today. I do not need to explain more just see below pictures. My husband found dark hair on he's salat bowl, which was ordered separately. After 5 min I took out of big hair on my doner bread. On top that they denied all and refused to refund the money. Any other places would apologies and Di they best.
