This is what you’re supposed to get vs what you actually receive — for five quid! I was shocked and honestly thought it was a prank at first. Definitely won’t be going back, and I don’t recommend it to anyone.
Very disappointed with German Doner Kebab in New Malden. Portions were much smaller than before, the box wasn’t full, and there was almost no cheese. We bought two portions and feel it wasn’t worth the money. Hope this was just a one-time issue.
I recently placed an order from German Doner Kebab and believed I was ordering from the Sutton branch, which I have used many times and has always provided good quality food with a 5-star hygiene rating. However, my order was fulfilled by the New Malden branch instead. The food I received was of extremely poor quality: • The bread was stale, and the meat tasted unpleasant. • The texture was wrong – instead of being crispy and smaller pieces like Sutton’s, it was soggy and unappealing. • The food also had a very strong smell of perfume, which made it inedible. After checking the New Malden location online, I saw their reviews were very concerning, mentioning issues such as a metal piece in food, mice droppings, and no hygiene rating available. Had I realised it was from this branch, I would never have ordered from them. Given the poor quality and serious food safety concerns, I would like a full refund for this order. I also request that this complaint be reported to the restaurant for investigation, as the food was not safe to eat. Needs a new management
Avoid at any cost. REDICULAS…. luckily my kids didn't eat that EXPIRED SAUSE… Im sure the manager will remember me soon as he reads this review. My husband brought food today for the whole family from this store. It was our regular stop at least once a week. He brought the food and came home when we opened the yogurt sausage and added it our doner i realised that there was a weird smell opened the other sauces and their taste and smell was different than normal. I immediately called the store (was answer the 3rd time) and explained them the situation. I just wanted to let them know that the sauces were expired not for any other reasons but rather than apologising for the whole situation he started saying that they don’t do these kind of things which is very unprofessional to say it to a customer. I have asked him if he's trying to say that I am lying and explained him once again that I was not calling for anything else, he decided to ask me to bring the food back to get a full refund. I told him I will bring the sauces and if they are expired he will have to give me a refund but he completely disagreed with it. Its not about the money at all but the customer service, the language that was used and the tone is very disrespectful toward the customers. I wonder how they passed their health and safety? How could you be giving your customers expired thing and disagree…
Loved the kebab here. Really tasty and loads of different varieties. The only thing I would say is they are a bit tight on the meat. Looks great from the front, no filling at the back. Other than that it's well made and good quality.
Ordered for delivery. Chips tasted quite stale and were only just warm. Doner meat was tasty but the portion size felt small compared to usual kebab takeaways. The spring rolls were simple, nothing special. Fairly disappointing overall
I ordered Dover krunch burger meal. Bun was burned. Extra pickles and jalapenos were just 3 pieces. It was total small amount that I paid over £10. Also, when he packing the firies, he dropped a lot of fries. Disappointed.
Tried the box with chicken, salad and chips. Very good and fresh, however the meat portion is a bit stingy compared to other GDKs I’ve been to.
