   Visiting family, helping with the garden, thought it would be simple to buy some battens, get them cut up and loaded. Not so, no cutting service, no saw on the premises, only option was to buy a saw and do it myself, pathetic service.. so unlike local builders merchants back home, Boys and Boden.

   Never anybody on tool hire when you need them. Wasted multiple hours on my job because you can't pay over the phone for a collection, only for a delivery. Had to get someone from our office to drive down. Pathetic.

   Based on the reviews below it’s clear to see that northern people are far easier to please compared to where I’m from. The clowns that work in this place wouldn’t last a day in a manic London based TP! Every single one of you are clueless but especially the “management”, Jim being the biggest clown of the lot!! Also, Mark Craven don’t you work there? The positive reviews are clearly set up/people they know. If anyone fancy’s a laugh go and see this lot at “work”. Pathetic bunch!

   The great Travis perkins reputability, not bigger enough to stock as much as my flagship branch in reddish, but prepared to order in for you, easy to park, easy to access branch, some, staff are miserable and grumpy, some are good, prices average to high, but not as expensive as jewsons, but not as cheap as selco

   Last minute building materials and plumbing : decorating equipment. More expensive than screw fix. But for me I could be there in 2mins and back with what we needed. Making sure tradespeople didn’t have to leave site for materials.
