River Island in general is a great clothing store, however, for the one in Wigan, some of the staff are friendly, some are just abrupt Either way 3/5 is a fair rating

Emailed to say my partners goods are ready for collection. Store has lost them. And was told to "contact customer services". Sorry, but you lost it instore somewhere between the rear door and a shelf. You need to sort it not me.
More like a jumble sale! Half the shop it was a jumble of sale rails if you found something you liked but it wasn't your size it would be virtually impossible to find anymore.
Never did review like this but I can’t be quiet of the rudeness of the staff. I am a plus size women and I am proud of it I don’t care what people think about me. But if the staff thinks it is ok to talk about clients behind their back I am not going to be quiet. Making comments and laughing behind their backs is so rude and unprofessional. They said “she thinks she going to fit in to this dress” and both start laughing. I was looking at a dress for my daughter I know they don’t have my size clothes and I don’t have any hope to find it here. But they should be professional and not judge. I have big regret I didn’t asked for manager straight away I just think how much staff like this can make damage to person who has mental problems and self esteem issues. Dear Manager Please, please teach your staff to be polite and maybe, maybe you will have more customers .
Didn't receive an email to let me know when my clothes had arrived in store off an order. I was told that I would get one, it didn't happen. However clothes are quite nice from this company.

I was so impressed with the service I received today at River Island in Wigan. The staff where so helpful. I was returning a dress which I got online and the material had a fault with it. They where happy to refund it but I actually wanted an exchange as I love it, I also got some money refunded. I could not fault the girl who served me she was so professional and the customer service she provided was excellent, wish I knew her name but thank you so much for the great service. This is what makes my shopping experience worth while, excellent customer care.
