   Excellent service and range of hiking products. Fitting service from a team of highly trained staff makes choosing footwear more effective . I encountered a problem with my boots (manufacturer’s issue) and the foothills team resolved it without fuss and delay. Would recommend foothills without hesitation.

   Wow - what a great shop with such amazing customer service. We need more places like this back on the high streets of Sheffield! I visited Foothills in search of new walking boots, having been completely overwhelmed by the amount of choice but lack of guidance in another well known retailer. The experience at Foothills was second to none. Rosi was helpful, friendly and meticulous, and took my multitude of foot oddities and complaints in her stride, while helping me choose the right boots. It’s clear that the colleagues in the store have been well trained and really understand the products and customers’ needs, without any pushy sales techniques. I’ve come home with a superb pair of boots from a Yorkshire company, and have been assured that with some good maintenance they should last for a very long time - a worthwhile investment. I look forward to testing them out at Hadrian’s wall next month. A 10/10 experience in this shop!

   I popped in to get fitted for a new pair of walking shoes and was really impressed. The staff were super knowledgeable, took the time to make sure I got the right fit, and gave great advice. Left feeling confident in my purchase and can’t wait to get out on the trails. Definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for proper walking gear and expert help!

   A hidden gem came across this shop by accident after seeing they stocked a walking boot i wanted and I could try them on in store . I was served by a young women called Rosi who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Who measured both my feet and advised me on two different priced boots after telling her my budget . The service I received from this young women and the shop was second to none. I had easily spent over an hour trying boots on and walking around the store .I tried a boot on in Blacks a mainstream store and they didn't measure my foot and as soon as I said the boot didn't fit they left and served someone else . Very friendly and family atmosphere and no pressure sales . Will be a returning customer as the store also offers a resoling service . Can't recommend enough

   Last visited this shop as a child with my dad (I’m now 40!). Forgot it existed until I needed a new pair of boots and my dad reminded me. Amazing customer service. Jamie and his grandad were extremely helpful and found me a fantastic pair of Keen boots that fit my feet like a comfy pair of slippers and fit my budget perfectly too! Will definitely be back.    A fantastic shop for hikers, hillwalkers and adventurers everywhere. They stock the finest range of boots you're likely to see anywhere, and the attention given to the customer is exemplary — they listen to your needs, budget and plans and don't try to push products that you don't really need. I've bought what feels like the first pair of hiking boots to really fit me, and I can't wait to get on the hills with them. They offer their own fitting guarantee and will take the boots back if you find any discomfort with them before putting them to true use outdoors. Everything about the shop seems to be run with care and with the goal of providing hikers with the best equipment for them, it's got a lovely vintage feel of a place where you call at before setting off for a big adventure, unlike so many other places where they try to get you onto the latest trends and fads. Don't forget to grab a cup of the free coffee for customers!

   I found this shop by chance and decided to have a look around. Whilst looking at ladies walking boots, Alex, shop assistant asked if I needed any help. I wasn't really looking to purchase a new pair but I asked for his opinion on a pair I liked. Alex suggested measuring my feet, so he could fetch a pair to try on. One and a half hours later, and after trying on numerous brands and styles, I walked out of the shop with a new pair of walking boots. My new boots resembled comfy, carpet slippers and fit perfectly. I am pleased to say my new boots have been worn on several, lengthy walks and I have had no issues with my feet. The customer service I received at Foothills was exceptional, from the advice to the fitting. I certainly would not hesitate in recommending Foothills to anyone, requiring outdoor wear. I certainly will be a returning customer.

   We want to say a big thank you to Lee who was super helpful with our walking boot purchase! He was very patient with us and explained all the different options on offer. It really did feel like a personalised, family run service; wanting to help us find what best suited us, not what would get the quickest sale. We are so glad we found this shop and we will definitely be back again!
