Regular shopper and come across rude arrogant staff all the time. No order at the meat counter and communication is either zilch or rude comebacks especially from the guy with the beard and hat. I’m not going back there ever again. Will go to Ahmed’s from now on.
I love coming here for all the asian groceries but cleanliness needs to improve, and a lot of the stock is rotten so needs refridgerating so they stay good for longer. Staff are friendly, parking is plenty, prices are ok but high in some items. Will be back please clean more
I had heard quite a bit about Sonali Supermarket as a go-to Asian grocery store, but unfortunately, it did not quite live up to expectations. The availability of fresh vegetables and fruits was very limited, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired – many items on the shelves were dusty and poorly maintained. However, the large car park is a definite plus, and its location next to a mosque makes it convenient for picking up daily essentials either before or after prayer, helping to reduce the number of trips needed.

Sometimes, especially during busy hours, things can get a little tense. But we must remember – this is the UK, not Pakistan, Bangladesh, or India. Things work differently here. People queue, wait for their turn, and follow a system that’s built on respect and order. If there's a delay in service, a product is out of stock, or a mistake happens – that’s part of life. No one does it intentionally. Even in some of the largest and most popular stores, mistakes occur. I've personally seen expired products on the shelves of well-known stores – it doesn't mean the whole store should be blamed or shut down. These businesses exist to serve us, and no store owner wants to sell bad products. They try their best to maintain standards, but if 1% of errors slip through, we as customers also need to show patience. Unfortunately, we are sometimes too quick to give negative reviews. At the slightest inconvenience, we jump on our phones and start rating businesses poorly – often without understanding the full picture. If something goes wrong, the better approach is to calmly talk to staff. In most cases, issues are resolved right away. I’ve personally met the owner and employees at Sonali – as a Pakistani, I was treated with great respect. I’m not just speaking about Sonali, but department stores in general. I’m not advertising anyone – I’m simply sharing a genuine experience and a fair observation. Let’s try to be a little more understanding, patient, and respectful. Sometimes there are delays, sometimes things don’t go as planned – but this isn’t a magic lamp where you rub it and expect everything to appear instantly. We live in a fast-paced world with increasing pressures – even the food we eat nowadays affects our health. So let’s not add more stress by being overly harsh with our words or ratings. Every customer has the right to comment, but let’s do it fairly and constructively. A little patience and positivity can go a long way.

They deserve a zero star..Half of the stuff I got today was expired..They clearly not doing their job properly.. Someone need to take responsibility for this ..

Eww! Cooked chicken next to raw chicken, that cooked chicken should not be eaten! The staff aren't even useful and the place stinks!
