Lovely little wine bar with a quirky sense of humour about it. Fantastic selection of french wines.. had the merlot which was delicious! Great place to catch up with friends or grab a drink before dinner/theatre etc.

Lovely french wine bar to sit down enjoy qualitative wines with your friends and meet new people. The staff is so very welcoming with everyone, kind, and hardworking. The food portions are more than reasonable. Always a pleasure to come to the Beaujolais. And an appreciation post for the french and the kiwi !

What an amazing discovery just feet from the mousetrap. A proper authentic french wine bar, buzzing with life. Open since 1973 it boasts being the oldest in London. Quirky interior includes a collection of men’s ties hanging from the ceiling. As we discovered at the bar it is a regular haunt for actors and well known chefs. Champagne is £12 a glass and the wine list is extensive. I have found another happy place in London x

Really quaint, comfortable and fun place with a great selection of wine and a decent menu. Felt like a local there as the staff was friendly and welcoming. Went on a slow Tuesday night and enjoyed the place very much. Had steak frites, great fries and a decent steak ( a bit thin and slightly under cooked…) All in all I liked it and will return!

A quaint and quirky French wine bar that I would definitely recommend. The staff are friendly, there is a decent wine selection as well as other options if you still wish to visit London's oldest French wine bar but wine isn't your thing. The food is rustic yet tasty and a decent portion. The toulouse Sausages were enjoyed by my friends. The picture is the spicy sausages. Call for a reservation of you would like a table but I'm sure you could find space to pop in for a cheeky glass if you wanted. Definitely worth a visit and I will be returning.

Ok, i am French and i tend to avoid French restaurants abroad, as they usually turn into touristic traps. This one is not! The food was tasty and the wine went down like a charm. Discussing with the owner for a moment made me realise that it is definitely a place i could call home!

An author friend recommended this place to me while I was visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed a glass of wine and French cheese sandwich! Great surroundings, delightful staff, and food & drink worth coming back to again.

Very quirky place with excellent wine selection. They have their own branded house red wine which was pretty good, but quite light (in case you like more full bodied reds). We also had a dinner there which was very hearty with big portions. I really recommend the beef dish and the fish pie, both were delicious.
