    Ethan at the Clifton Moor store was fantastic! We'd done a click and collect order on a TV and wall bracket, and as we were about to head out the shop he ran over and said he wanted to double check if he could get it cheaper for us. He managed to knock off Β£40, get us 4 TV accessories and a care plan for free! He was so friendly and helpful, and Currys are always a great shop to buy from.

    This store is absolutely ridiculous. Over the years, I've gone there several times to look at and choose the equipment I needed in person, but I've never found it there. The only good thing is that when my wife and I bought something on their website, we didn't have to wait for delivery; we could just go to the store the next day and pick it up. In other words, the store functions as a warehouse. Once, I wanted to choose a countertop dishwasher for our small kitchen. But there was nothing to choose from; they simply didn't have any such machines. Another time, I wanted to buy a camera. It turned out they didn't even have a section in the showroom where you could choose cameras or lenses. Their showroom only stocks a standard selection of appliances and electronics, the same as any small appliance department in a shopping mall. It's just that there might be five or six identical washing machines or dishwashers from different brands, whereas this Currys store has 20 identical models, but from different brands. What's the point of having such a large showroom if you're not really getting any variety?

    Went in store to look at a fridge freezer, was upsold by a member of staff to one on display only to be told it’s out of stock for the foreseeable future. Was told I could buy the display model which despite having some scratches and dents they could only offer me Β£20 off. Left and looked online at what was available. Ordered a fridge freezer. Due to IT issue I was only able to select a full day slot rather then a 1/2 day. I checked the next day and 1/2 day slots were available again but I was unable to change my request. When I was looking to change this, I saw curry’s had put on a promotional voucher of Β£100 off for my specific appliance. Called to see if they would honour this promotion. They said they could not. Asked to speak to a manager. They advised the earliest slot for a call was 5 days later. Asked to raise a complaint. Was advised there is no number for this. Politely ended the call to try a different number but there seems to be no complaints procedure other then to raise with the general advisor and then wait 5 days for complaints team to get back in touch. Not helpful when my appliance is arriving before then… Terrible customer service all round from Currys and will be avoiding them going forward.

    We recently purchased a Gigabyte laptop from the Harrogate Currys store but came to the York branch for support, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Dan was incredibly helpful; he took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we understood each step. The laptop had some driver issues, but Dan’s communication was spot-on and he was extremely patient while walking us through the setup and troubleshooting. He made what could’ve been a stressful situation feel manageable. The manager, Chamak, was also very welcoming and added to the positive experience. Thanks again to Dan and the teamβ€”we’d happily return to this store in the future.

    I had a great experience with the staff here. They live up to their "Techsperts" sloganβ€”they really know their stuff! I came in looking for a new TV, and the team member who helped me was very knowledgeable. They showed me a few different options and helped me get a cracking deal on a TV. The staff's expertise and helpfulness made the whole process easy and enjoyable.

    Went to swap an item using the care package I got when I bought it. The queue was massive. Took a long time to return bits, which was not very good but they were great with their service. Just need to ensure enough staff are on to deal with the high defend before Christmas. :)

    I would not recommend buying from curry's. We bought a washing machine and paid extra for next day delivery due to having a baby and needing clothes washing. Was told we would be left with a working machine. This was not the case. When it arrived the guys fitted it and left. I went to put a load on and nothing it wouldn't wash. I contacted customer service and it was shocking. I was past from them to another company back to curry's customer service back to the other company that were happy to leave me a week before sending someone out. At this point I ended up going into the shop and honestly they won't surprised by service from customer service. Its such a shame that they are letting down the rest of the stores as the guy who sold us the washing machine was great but due to the service after this is why I gave 1 star. I wouldn't recommend buying and already told friends to shop somewhere else. I will never buy from curry's again.

    We ordered a washing machine online which was delivered as stated. Within 6 weeks it had broken down. The repair person came and was a little baffled as to the workings of it as it had parts it shouldn't have and these were the ones that had broken down!! He stated he would order the new parts but could not tell us how long this would take. We have contacted customer services numerous times and been given incorrect information. An awful experience and we will never buy from them again! also, I am fully aware that the response to this review will be the same as the responses to all the other negative reviews on here and also on Facebook and Twitter. Basic standard automated response which means nothing! Stay away from Curry's, time is far too short to waste your time, effort, money and patience on this cowboy company!

    Charged me twice for my item after saying the transaction hadn't gone through the first time. Only spotted it when looking over my bank statements. Will update this review dependent on how easy it is to get my money back.
