I went to this shop yesterday and explained my issues with my current running trainers, they were so attentive and took the time to find out what suits me best. I would 100% recommend them (and have told my running buddies about them).
This is a great shop in a lovely town. I popped in to see if I could get some comfy trainers for some mid forefoot pain.(mortens neuroma) I tried some Altras, which ended up being painful after walking around the house in them for 30 minutes. I took them back, & they sorted me out straight away with a pair of Hoka Clifton 9s, these are perfect, no pain! Hallelujah! A really great team, & they will let you try on & walk/run in lots of different shoes to get the perfect fit & pair.
I am not a runner (sadly) but a podiatrist recommended I try the shop to find a walking shoe that offered maximum support, stability and cushioning. Louise was very helpful, professional and knowledgable in helping me find the right shoe that not only fitted well, but looked great too. Thank you ☺️ So, even if you’re not looking to run a marathon, but still want a high performance shoe to help foot pain and gait, I would definitely recommend Metres to Miles. If you ARE looking to run a marathon…..you probably already buy your trainers from here!!

One of the best running shops in the area. I travel from Doncaster about 10 miles away to use their services. They are simply the best and put you on a treadmill to see how you run and then find some shoes till you get your perfect ones. Been coming here for about 8 years. Had one issue with a pair of shoes when I got home they just wasn’t right but they resolved it straight away. Honestly wouldn’t even think about going elsewhere as I trust these guys and I can do some serious miles when running so need proper trainers
A very unusual place in that the care and attention is second to none. I went in not really knowing exactly what I needed and came out with the perfect pair of trainers. No pushy sales, time taken over finding my feet the right pair. Would highly recommend and will be going back when I need my next pair.
Just started jogging after several years of using a cross trainer to protect my knees. Was fitted for a set of trainers to suit me by Ruth using the treadmill. What a thorough job and great experience it was to find something perfect for me. Extremely happy with my Brooks trainers and after several runs now, they are brilliant with no knee issues at all. Great first time experiance of this type of shop. I rec'd personal service from someone who obviously knows his sport and carries a large range of shoes which enabled me to try on multiple pairs and come away with my first ever! pair of trail running shoes - Brooks Cascadia 16 trail shoes. That was a few weeks ago now and after two - 10 mile walks over varied terrain from wet grass and general countryside to rough wet rocky Derbyshire moorland, I'm confident they will help me achieve my trail goals.. I'm the wrong side of 60 and definately not a runner, but like many hikers out there turning to lighter weight footwear and prepared to embrace the fact that my feet wil get wet! Be assured though these shoes will dry out quite quickly unlike my life long leather boots that are twice the weight. Happy walking.
