   From The Chocolate Kitchen Ltd. We would just like to say that we have bought quite a lot of equipment from RTH over the last 15 years and it has always been a pleasure to deal with them. Always polite and helpful, nothing to much trouble. Our last purchase was in May of this year 2024, a new 10 pan gilato display freezer, the same good price and service as always, I wouldn't go anywhere else for our equipment. Keep up the good work guys, a well deserved 5 star business

   I initially rang for some advice on what I’d need to redo my industrial kitchen, the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful, considering I hadn’t expressed interest in buying anything specific from them he spent a considerable amount of time talking me through what I would need and what the timeframe would be for them to have everything for me, the prices were competitive and the service in their warehouse was above and beyond, it’s very obvious this is a family owned business and that showed in the small details, everything was clean and well organised. 10/10 would recommend.

   Saw an ad on eBay and went down to buy a heated gantry in person. Met a bloke called Ross, who was incredibly difficult to deal with. Spoke down to me at every turn. Agreed to purchase. Was told he couldn’t wait 5 minutes later than they closed, to collect it. And that he would leave it in the garage next door. Also not happy to provide a receipt, because they wanted to avoid VAT. Told me that there’s 30 day warranty and that the only things that go wrong are the bulbs, which you can buy 3 for a pound. We took it back to our store, plugged it in and immediately one of the bulbs blew. Unfortunately it wasn’t the size we required. Contacted RTH again and spoke to Ross, who again was very rude but somewhat agreed for me to bring back and swap or refund. When I bought it back after the weekend, he kept blaming me for wasting his time and was huffing and puffing throughout, saying “you tried to negotiate the price when you came” and “you’ve wasted my time”. He said the metal at the top was bent as well, which was untrue because it pushed back into place as it was transported horizontally. Agreed to give him £20 for “wasting his time”. He kept £25. Didn’t once look me in the eye. Based on years of sales and customer service experience, this was very unprofessional. Not sure what his issue seemed to be with me. But it may well have been down to the colour of my skin. I think he could do well to improve his customer service interactions and treat fellow human beings with respect. I never do reviews like this. But I felt I needed to after a horrible experience. Only 2 stars because they took the item back.

   Had an issue with a fridge that wasn’t RTH fault. They helped and were totally flexible to how I wanted the problem fixing. I will always try to use and recommend them in the future. The low star rating on google is not deserved. Thankyou for looking after me.

   We bought a sandwich fridge from this company in September 2017. By beginning of November the fridge needed a new compressor at the cost of £550. The fridge only cost £800. Called them and got no response other than their standard response of they only offer 1 months warranty. Not sure when they'll wake up to the fact that customers won't put up with this these days. Avoid at all costs.
