Lovely little stop off on a dog walk

Lovely spot but the duck pond, good selection of food and drink.

A good selection of drinks, hot and cold. The food offerings were well displayed and plentiful. We only had drinks on this occasion. We sat outside. Quite a few benches overlooking the duck pond. Not sure about additional seating inside, just two tables in the area by the serving counter. Good that they accept card.

Found this cafe by chance when randomly looking nearby, will definitely re-visit when the weather is better as there are some nice walks nearby. The food was great, and the service was quick. I had a chicken pie, and my wife had a jacket potato. Coffee was also good, and we were both surprised by how good the prices were for the quality and the portion sizes.

Didn't stay for a drink it's basically a wooden shed with a few chairs, lots of walkers there , not what we had been expecting

Wanted to like this place, but ordered three coffees and they somehow tasted of cigarettes (!) and so all ended up down the drain. Would not buy coffee from here again. EDIT: In response to owners reply - we had unfortunately already walked some way from the cafe before starting our coffees, but appreciate the sentiment in offering to replace them. No idea *why* they tasted that way, but didn't make much difference as to the fact they ended up being a waste of £10.

Enjoyed a delicious strong hot coffee and generous chunk of chocolate brownie during a walk in the hills. Recommended.

Genuinely one of the best things i’ve ever eaten. Friend had the brocolli and stilton pie and I had the balti pie, both were unbelievably tasty. Been coming here once every few months for years but was really blown away yesterday. Cannot put into words how good this place is. Wow

We had a lovely breakfast here last weekend. We had the veggie breakfast. It was all very delicious well priced and a well sized portion. Set in a great location you can watch the wild birds and squirrels eat, whilst you eat.
