Great little gem, friendly staff and all food is cooked to perfection. I particularly love their own Rafters chips which are the best chips in Rubery if not the West Midlands..nice and crunchy on the outside (never greasy) and light & fluffy inside.

Been meaning to leave a review for ages – finally got a minute (a miracle in itself)! These guys don’t just do great café food – they did my daughter’s wedding BBQ last August and absolutely smashed it. Top drawer stuff. Popped in today for a mini breakfast (trying to be good… kind of), and it was divine – every bite was a little hug from a frying pan. Atmosphere? Spot on. Friendly, relaxed, and just the right amount of chaos to remind you it’s real. Prices? Still cheaper than therapy and way more delicious. Keep doing what you do, Rafters – you’re the local treasure we don’t deserve but desperately need.

UPDATED My meal today was good but not as good as last time my crackling was like rubber and the lunch menu was tiny compared to last time. It also seems that if you know them you get to order things off different menus. Not as impressed as last time but still good food and friendly staff with a lovely atmosphere. Just note that the lunch menu can be a lot smaller sometimes. Went for lunch with my Nan and we have both been very impressed. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the cafe itself is welcoming and lovely to be in. The toilets are clean and so are the tables. They have a fab lunch menu and I had the chicken skewers which where amazing and my Nan had the ham sandwich which was equally as good. We also had a pot of tea for two which was plenty for us tea lovers. I highly recommend this lovely little cafe ! We will be back !

Lovely little cafe. Food is great and reasonably priced. Only thing I would change is sometimes the music is quite loud in the day time which means it's difficult to have a conversation

Unpretentious Excellence - Faultless right down to the choice of music. If like me you were brought up in Harborne/Edgbaston fifty years ago you will love this café. Extremely friendly and helpful service with perfectly cooked fresh food and accompanying salad.

Fantastic little hidden gem, off the Rubery High Street. Really friendly and welcoming service, and all around homely feel. Nice range of food and drinks and the decor was really lovely. Plenty of seating - a perfect place to get warm in the winter chills!
