   THIS COSTA FOOD POISONED ME. Avoid at all costs. I went last Sunday with my partner and had a Brie and cranberry toasty, which wasn’t worth the price tag anyway but he ate most of it. I then had a Black Forest hot chocolate, regular and this is what gave me food poisoning. It didn’t taste off but I hadn’t had anything else that day a within 10 mins of consuming it I had a bad stomach ache start. 30 mins later I got in bed in so much pain in my stomach I was crying. 15 mins later I was on the bathroom floor feeling sick and ill and sweating. After an hour I was sick for the first time and it was so violent and mostly the hot chocolate. This continued all of Sunday evening and for 3 days I couldn’t eat much from stomach cramps. The service was also poor and I’d describe it as ungrateful: not looking at me and being really slow with the order. I’m not going to Costa again and I’ve seen lots of similar cases online about Costa with cream causing food poisoning and high traces of salmonella on their surfaces and coffee machines. I just want to warn people so they don’t have to go through what I did right before Christmas.

   Service was slow despite there being three staff on (none of which seemed to be in a particular hurry to do anything). Not been into any Costa for quite some time. Didn't look at the prices before ordering (otherwise would have not bothered). Having already requested two Cappuccinos and being asked for £8.20 was too polite (or stupid/embarrassed!) to decline. Couldn't fault the coffee once I had it but (due to the price) it will be a very long time before I go into any Costa again and this particular branch (due to price and slow service) not again at all.

   Understaffed for a drive-thru and sit in costa. Staff don’t seem like they know what they are doing and had to wait a very long time for 2 drinks and a pastry. It’s a shame as it’s my first time in this Costa branch.

   Popped by just to grab a snack and a drink while in the area. It didn't seem too busy but everything seemed delayed. Yet this may have been due to the drive thru orders. The staff were nice to deal with. Though the cafe was clean, it felt cramped, the space between tables was tight and they weren't even full. The price caught me on the hop, but talking to one of the other customers they recommended getting the app for a lot of promotional discounts. Loved the fact there was a random tap to top up your water bottle for free. Lots of parking outside. Enjoy.
