Had the pleasure of visiting Christopher's today with my sons. We had a long drive from Birmingham but it was worth it. The food was delicious and our plates were so full. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.

My first Caribbean carvery and it didn’t disappoint! Very generous and the roast lamb was unreal. Lovely team and a great place for a Sunday out with family. I’ll be back x

Great food (the meats were so tender + seasoned well) atmosphere + vibes. Just one detail that let the food down was that we couldnt taste the coconut in the rice & peas. Our group of 6 was booked for 7pm when we arrived we were never told at 7.45pm the kitchen was closing. So consequently at 8pm when we had finished our meals & had a little chat there was no desserts available. We all went elsewhere for dessert so they lost out on the price of 6 desserts. More communication was needed, which was shame as they were a lovely team!

Christopher’s is a brand-new Caribbean fusion spot that makes a great first impression — warm lighting, a spotless venue, and genuinely friendly service. The atmosphere feels inviting and the cocktails are well-executed for the price point. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the setting. The mutton was cooked nicely but lacked depth of flavour — surprisingly bland for a dish that should be rich and aromatic. Chips arrived unsalted, which the staff attributed to EHO reasons, but basic seasoning is non-negotiable in any kitchen. The side vegetables looked and tasted processed, arriving dull and grey, while the burger seemed bought-in and poorly presented — limp lettuce, no real care in prep, and a generic patty that didn’t inspire confidence. The gravy also tasted suspiciously like Bisto, which only added to the sense of corners being cut. It’s worth noting we visited midweek, and I’ve heard the Sunday carvery portions are far more generous. Still, the level of care and attention shouldn’t be reserved for one day of the week — consistency matters, especially when you’re serving food throughout. There’s promise here — the service (Selina was great!), ambience, and drinks are strong foundations — but the food needs far more love, seasoning, and attention to detail. Hopefully they find their footing, because right now, Christopher’s is a beautiful space serving forgettable food. Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (5/10, generously)

Came for the carvery and was not disappointed! Food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable and the place was very clean. The pricing is spot on. 10/10, have already recommended to friends and family

I live in Swansea, but my mum lives in South Birmingham. Whenever I come home, we meet here, and with good reason. Great food everything.

They say nothing is perfect, well me and a friend arrived an hour before the kitchen closed and were seated in the dining section. Not what i expected from the arrival. The menu is well thought out and very affordable. I enjoyed my starters and main of gammon chips and peas which was cooked perfectly, its hard to find constructive criticism. The staff where very professional here, a great team who clearly enjoy getting it right.

The meals here were off the scale, amazing. From the 'foot long' fish to the most wonderful steak and Guinness pie, everything was top drawer, including the staff and service. We always 'score' pies, wherever we go and for 12 years 'the' pie referred to in our scoring system :) 'the' top pie was from the Buck Inn in Yorkshire. No longer, 'the' pie is now the pie from The Royal Oak. A superb evening all round, no faults found. Truly a lovely pub.

Booked really late but they went all out to accommodate us and getting us a table for 4. It was very busy but they had more than enough staff and waiting time was minimal. All the staff were attentive and very helpful. The food was excellent. We will certainly be going there again, hopefully very soon! We'll done!

Nice friendly staff. Good parking. Apple crumble was very nice considering how it was done all seperate. I worked out the custard had gone in the bowl first, then the fruit and finally the crumble but it tasted lovely.
