   Had a wonderful experience at Ishtar Restaurant. The food was absolutely lovely, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the evening even better. The atmosphere is amazing, and the belly dancer performance was a fantastic touch. Highly recommend!

   A warm and friendly welcome from Niko. Seated with a great window table. Niko provided great recommendations - which didn't disappoint. I ordered the lunch special of 3 courses. And in addition I was brought olives plus hummus and warm toast bread - the perfect start to a great Turkish meal. My entrée were the king prawn skewers - delicious with a ginger and garlic marinade. For main course I ordered the lamb with prune, pear, apricot and couscous - yummy. And I was so happy with my two dishes and full that I got the baklava to takeaway. A brilliant Turkish restaurant and massive thanks to Niko for professional, attentive service.

   Lovely service, not too pushy, food was great. Maybe I would like to see more Turkish traditional food. I was hoping for Imam Bayildi but it wasn't on the menu. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and would be back.

   We recently dined at Ishtar and had a pleasant overall experience. I had reserved a table for myself and two friends over the phone. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by a lovely waitress, which set a positive tone for the evening. We were served complimentary bread and hummus, the hummus, in particular, was delicious. For our mains, we ordered Incik, a Mixed Grill, and sides of Jasmine Rice. The food was full of flavour, I especially enjoyed the Chicken Kofta, which was the highlight of the meal for me. We also ordered drinks including green and red mocktails, as well as still water. To finish, we tried a few desserts.. Chocolate Cake, Firinda Sutlac, and Künefe. The desserts were decent, not overly impressive but certainly nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was quite nice and added to the overall experience. However, one minor drawback was the lack of attentiveness from the staff after our mains were served. No one came over to check if we needed anything further or if we were ready for desserts, so we had to call someone over and wait. Despite this small issue, I was overall satisfied with the visit. I’d recommend trying Ishtar at least once, it’s not necessarily an everyday restaurant, but definitely worth a visit. Best wishes to the team!

   I came to Ishtar for a birthday dinner with 11 friends and had such a fun celebration. Arriving whilst a man / woman duo musicians singing just set the tone to a wonderful evening. Our crazy group danced the night away. I loved it so much that I brought a friend of mine to sample more from their delicious menu. We had hummus served with warm bread with toasted sesame to wet our appetite. My friend loved her goat cheese salad on a bed of rocket salad. I came back specifically for the octopus and it certainly delivered…! My friend loved her mixed grilled with a hot salsa and I chose the grilled poussin served with perfectly grilled vegetables and tasty purple cabbage salad. The crumble to finish was scrumptious. The meal was so good I’d like say a huge thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff. Friends from the previous celebration will be bringing their partners and friends. We really can’t wait to come back.

   The food here definitely is lovely just as the staff, a little on the pricier side but a good place for a special occasion. My friend and I were very happy and thankful to the staff who presented her birthday treat with a full song from themselves! Really good service during quieter times and food with flavour

   Amazing experience! A very nice venue and the food and service was exceptional! Loved all the dishes we ordered and the mixed grill meat was tender and tasty cooked to perfection. On top of that there is a really nice bar downstairs with live music. Highly recommended if you are craving for good Turkish food and venue :)

   We came here for a celebratory reason and we were thoroughly happy with the overall experience. Bilal, our host, was stellar and really courteous. The food also was outstanding and looked as good as it tasted. The desserts also were perfect for the night. At one point the staff got one of our starter/appetiser wrong but they quickly corrected it when we told them about the error. They gave us the right item and also gave the same dish for free for the trouble caused. Overall we loved the ambience, food and service and will recommend this place anytime.
