Embarrassing and unacceptable behaviour from staff. I paid in full at the point of ordering — as per their usual process. Despite this, after I finished my meal and left, staff came chasing after me onto the street accusing me of not paying. This was a very upsetting experience and quite inexplicable as mentioned that they take payment at the point of order. It was humiliating, completely unnecessary, and frankly disgraceful behaviour. The mistake was entirely on their side, yet they saw fit to confront me publicly as if I was trying to avoid payment — even though the bill had already been settled. They failed to check their own error before choosing public confrontation and embarrassment — and even after it was clear I had paid, no apology was offered. As a South Asian customer, I am left wondering whether unconscious bias played a role in the way I was treated. No customer should have to experience this kind of treatment. I will never set foot in this cafe again as I don't want to be made to feel a thief when I sit in for a coffee. I would advise others to think twice before dining here. No customer should be treated this way.

Lovely food, atmosphere and staff! The menu has a good selection of normal foods - nothing too fancy, accessible to most - and at a good price. Lovely coffee and soft drinks. I had a ham and chicken ciabatta with salad and my mom had a ploughman's which was delicious too. Have never been here before but would definitely make it a regular place to visit. Also dog friendly! Fast and friendly service! Staff took appropriate procedures to ensure safety during covid by taking our temperatures before entry and ensuring customers used hand sanitizer. Prices are reasonable and a lovely clean environment, would recommend!
