Difficult experience dealing with Magnet. They told us we couldn't have the marble countertop we wanted as it wasn't worth their time for the amount we needed, so we had to go with a quartz alternative. They were also terrible at managing their contractors. We were supposed to be finished by mid-late June, but it had only just been finished by the start of August. We had to chase our POC with Magnet who's response was that they were waiting on the contractors and that they would email them, rather than proactively chasing for a result meaning we were waiting weeks to hear updates on when a simple job of taking measurements would be done. At one point we lost several days waiting for other subcontractors to arrive that never turned up on time and despite having new cupboards fitted we were left without any plumbing, countertop and backsplash for over a month. Almost a month was wasted waiting for a subcontractor to come back with measurements for the countertop and backsplash. They had to visit twice because the wrong measurements were taken the first time and seemed like they hasn't prepared for how it would be secured to our wall. Despite what was agreed and paid for the subcontractor had not prepared for the backsplash in all of the places we had stated to Magnet at the start and we had to force them to include that in the scope of the work. We were later forced to hire an electrician as our own, separate expense to remove plugs before they could install the backsplash when this was never stayed to us. Final result was good, but for the ££££ expense it was frustrating having to chase Magnet and their subcontractors when the reason we paid them was to manage this for us. My advice is to keep this in mind, as you will probably have to keep chasing them for results / updates on the work. Not great if you're needing to movenin soon, or actually living there. Also, our Magnet POC went on leave with no alternative contact provided by the company (which is Magnets responsibility) meaning work could not be continued, shows just overall they seem to be disorganised.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we were offered a cuppa before we had our appointment and were shown around the showroom to view all of the options available. Very helpful with the design service too and very reasonably priced.
