I am only giving one star as there isn’t an option to give lower. I booked a table for our festive family meal on Christmas Eve. When I arrived the staff behind the bar were rude, I informed a team member that I had booked a table to be told “ everyone who’s booked have turned up “ I stated I booked this morning and could she check my booking. She took my name. Checked a piece of paper and went to another tall lady with dark hair who I assume was the manager or supervisor.. she looked around the venue then came over and said the only table they had available was in the conservatory but there was a party in there! I said so how have I booked a table if there is no room for us. She said well you can sit in there but the party have priority - I then said I wouldn’t be sitting with my family for in there. And asked if anywhere else was available. She pointed to a family sitting and said they will leave soon and we could have that table. The table was filthy. Broken crayons were all over the floor, there we no menus available so i had to clean around the area before we sat. When I went to the bar to order there was no politeness and we felt like a burden for wanting to order some food. There was no pasta from the children’s menu an the man behind the bar was getting frustrated at the fact my daughter didn’t know what else to eat. Last time we visited was in the summer of last year and experience was slightly better. But the team on this particular evening were less than welcoming. I definitely won’t be returning and there will be no recommendations from me for others to visit. When the meals came majority of the chips were green / bruised then when clearing the plates away / my son was still eating his and felt he had to give his plate back as she was taking the others. We were going to order desert but she took our menus away! We left overall dissatisfied and disappointed. I would suggest a customer service course for your manager and team.

First time visiting this pub. It was a lovely change. Brought my Dad here for a tasty meal. Friendly atmosphere and relaxing. The food was very good, it's not cheap and if the portions had been even the tiniest bit smaller I'd not have been pleased so they were just about good enough. Quality of the food good and tasty though. Toilets nice and clean and that's always a good marker.

I’m visiting from the USA and had such a wonderful experience at the Plough & Harrow in Sutton. From the moment I walked in I felt so welcome. Rob served me and went above and beyond! he was so friendly and attentive and made me feel right at home. The food was excellent too! the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service truly stood out. Huge thanks to Rob and the team for making my visit so memorable. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends traveling to Birmingham!

The first time here and first thing is car parking great. plenty of spaces and disabled bay by doors. walking in found place very inviting and clean and lovely decor. Bar staff Very friendly and made you welcome. good selection of beers at decent prices. Was a bit unsure how to find your table booked and how to order food. We found that you scanned menu and ordered on phone as two of us had no phone with us lucky my son had his. After placing order via phone food was served in about 10 mins and was hot and well presented on the plate. I had the mixed grill but egg was missing and the steak part was just to tough to eat. The rest of the grill was very nice and enjoyed it . My two guests had steak and scampi and said they enjoyed their meal. Would i book a meal here again yes without a second thought , very nice staff very nice pub. Two things could have been better but did not spoil our evening out and fair prices too.

Lovely family-friendly pub. Great for watching any football match as we did . Welcomed by regulars and made us feel at home. Will return when next back in the area.

Visited for Christmas Day. Although it was busy, as would be expected, staff were friendly and service speed was good. The quality of food was also good and the pub was tastefully decorated.

I came today with a group of 7 of my friends for Christmas lunch. Amy worked very hard to look after our drinks, starts, mains and puddings! We had such a lovely time, the staff made sure we were looked after and the table was set up lovely when we arrived. Were so grateful as we don't go out often and it was such a nice treat. I would definitely visit again.

Went in for some food and drinks last week with my partner and Amie was absolutely lovely. She helped us with recommending the best food for us to try and told us the best deals, it was delicious. We ended up joining the quiz too which was a good laugh. Really nice pub and great service.

I'm visiting from London and came to the Plough and Harrow and was met with such a lovely welcome and hospitality. Dee and the rest of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The pub in general has a lovely atmosphere and lots of nooks and crannies to sit and have a quiet drink and delicious bite to eat, or alternatively get involved with all the friendly locals. Will definitely visit next time I'm in town.
