Wonderful local Deli with fantastic choice of homemade cakes. Delicious selection of cold meats and pork pies, bread and pastries. We ate in the “Secret Garden” outside at the rear, very peaceful with beautiful vintage china plates and cups. Outstanding service from the lovely girls who served us. There’s also a little shop inside for stuff to take away. Highly recommended and could not fault!
We’re so lucky to have this gem in the village! Eve’s carrot cake is my absolute favourite but there’s always so much to choose from. Staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the secret garden is a treat! We also look forward to the Saturday specials on the sourdough and love the fresh baguettes.

Delicious lunch, good value cakes and lovely teacups with the tea. Staff are friendly and facilities are great, we enjoyed panini's and ploughman's in a beautiful garden to the rear, a perfect spot to break up a day of hiking!
What a fantastic local shop, you couldn't ask for anything more. Great friendly service, lots of locally sourced produce, made to order sandwiches and great coffee.
Stopped here for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. I really would like to give a five star review but.... The five star bit is great location, clean and tidy cafe, friendly staff, good menu choice and really nice bacon sandwich. The problem was the coffee. I had high hopes, an espresso machine a menu of espresso based coffees and advertising suggesting that York Coffee Emporium coffee is used. I ordered a flat white. What I got came from the espresso machine but looked and tasted nothing like a flat white. It looked and tasted like instant coffee made with hot milk. If the ground coffee is good and the espresso machine is good it must come down to the way the coffee is made. I'd strongly urge the owners to invest in training for the staff if this is the issue. Would transform a good cafe with poor coffee to a great cafe
