   went in on Saturday with the wife obviously the place needs some TLC but we had a friendly welcome the Guinness was ok and it's nice to see the place still open and not turned in to a HMO or a shop ...2 many pubs closing all the time let's hope this one ain't next

   Shame about this pub....I bet back in the day this would have been thriving..loads of seating areas. It could do with a revamp, but I suppose if no one visits here, they are not going to spend money on it. Bar staff friendly, so was the other guy who may have been the landlord.

   Old skool boozer...friendly... Came in for a couple of pints after the WBA match on a Saturday at 17.30pm. No fancy dandy plastic falsehood here, just a great traditional boozer.

   Love this place no nonsense pub brilliant mix of English and Asian culture. It's a great pint decent price, always been made to feel very welcome. Old school traditional pub. The best thing about the blue gates is the mix of people from every walk of life.
