   We had a fantastic time at The Dog and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We went along for Breakfast with Santa, and it was such a lovely experience – really well organised, friendly, and perfect for families. Santa was brilliant and made it extra special for the kids. The food was lovely, fresh and well cooked, and everyone in our group really enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were helpful and cheerful throughout. A great pub that clearly puts a lot of effort into creating special events as well as serving great food. We’ll definitely be back!

   Greeted as we arrived, ordered food and coffee both being delivered to our table. The food was very nicely presented and well cooked. Even vegetarians should try this bacon!!! Doggy treats and water readily available.

   Thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming to our big group of 12 adults plus lots of children. The staff were so friendly and although I offered to tidy up after (we left some wrapping paper and some napkins from a drink spillage) they absolutely wouldn't hear of it and just said they hoped we had a nice time. Food was decent and nice glass of wine too. The staff were coping with extra pressure due to supply issues with food so we were especially impressed at their lovely welcome.

   One of the best pubs in the area and good stop off after a visit to Lightwoods park or stroll around afterwards to walk the food off! We visit quite regularly and sometimes the customer service is top notch and then other times there's a funny atmosphere. Music sometimes off or down low or the staff are stretched doesn't help I suppose. Also feels nicer to visit in the winter when the real fires are lit! One of the more pricier pubs in the area for drinks, the food, drinks and visits are usually very good and recommend. Only grumble with the food is I wish theyd have decent bread and mens toilets are usually ropey. Brunch is great here also but recommend The Dog if you're in the area.

   My friends & I enjoy going here after work the fixed price meals are great value for money. There's always a good selection & the meals are always served hot. The staff are polite & friendly, & make sure everything is ok. We'll definitely keep going.
