Lovely pub, friendly staff, good value food. Catered for a large group of 16. No issues food came out all together. The decor was clean and fresh. We will definitely visit again.
Ive been to oak tree before ,not brilliant but as festive menu gave it another go, this time it was a bingo club xmas party, so about 60 approx people, very disappointed, our meal booked for 1.45 , waited ages for starter,that was 2.30 approx, one friend had hair in prawn cocktail, reported it to manager, ,so another prawn cocktail came , other friend said the dressing was really watery ,I had the breaded mushrooms which were over cooked, so breadcrumbs hard and some burnt, another friend had soup which she said was nice, once tables were cleared, finally the mains came at 3.20 ,turkey dinner, turkey ok but the gravy on the turkey really salty, my pigs in blanket well the bacon came off and burnt and the sausage hard,I think the round thing was a stuffing ball ,that was over cooked, at 4pm still few being served the mains , luckily a few of us hadn't ordered dessert so we walked out , i think over 2 hours without dessert is so bad , I will say if more staff we helping wouldn't of waited as long ,only one waitress and she was doing bar aswell. I definitely wouldn't go again
Had a really enjoyable evening at the Oak Tree, took part in the quiz night. The staff - Stacey, Alisha, Emily and Paige - were really helpful and friendly. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be making regular visits here.
Popped in here a few days before my disaster meal for a pint while my tyres were being changer over the road, the place looked lovely and the pint was great. Fast forward a couple of days and I received a leaflet through the door with a 40% off voucher attached, so i thought let's go... Firstly when you post leaflets out, aren't they proof read? This pub is in Rednal, with one 'l' not two like the leaflet states (See pic) That day I went the aircon must of been broken as the temperature indoors was ridiculous, only saving grace was the occasional draft through the doors. Now the food, awful, no other word. The peas were like bullets, the chips were so dry I had to spit some out, how can they be so dry? The steaks were dreadful, mine was cooked as i requested but could be used in a game of squash, my dog struggled to chew what we took home. I had the surf and turf, the scampi were tiny and dry, and few and far between. Even with the 40% off I felt robbed, my partner was ill the next, cant be sure it was from there but I'd guess it was. Will definitely not be returning.
Place was so busy but staff couldn't do enough to help. The customer service was amazing, really friendly and attentive. Food was beautiful, everything cooked really well... Good portions and very reasonable prices. I'd definitely go here again. Highly recommend.
I had my father's wake there last Thursday.(10 November 2022) Dale and his team could not have be more helpful. The service was excellent. We had a corner of the pub to ourselves.(not the function room because of the stairs for my elderly relatives) Everyone enjoyed the hot buffet and commented on how good the food was. A very good selection. I was delighted everything went well.
Not sure why all the bad reviews, we walked in yesterday a family of 9, had mixed meals of burgers, pizza, steak, kids meals under 5s, sides, puddings and drinks and couldn't fault anything wrong with the food. The man behind the bar was well mannered and polite. It's the first time I've come here and I'd def come back again.
Had a lovely meal with my kids the fish was massive and was bigger than the plate , all fresh and hot. Definitely worth the money . The new manager matt was lovely too very helpful and friendly . Thanks
