Staff member that took my order looked like she didn’t want me or my mother here. We walking in with around 20 minutes until close and I didn’t feel welcome at all. We wanted to have a quick drink before driving back on the motor way. The drinks were tepid in temperature and the maple latte was terrible. I’d honestly avoid this one. Apparently if the place closes in 20 minutes, that’s not good enough for the staff…
An excuse of the over the counter lady was there we’re running out of cups that’s why theyve served us on a disposable cups! That’s not a good excuse. Servers use with disposable fork and spoons disgusting! Service inconsistency Cakes are lovely so is with the coffee! Just the staff were not attentive enough best benefit for customers. I find it discriminative action. She argued with bad excuses.
Arrived around 4pm on a Thursday - checked the opening times and saw it was due to stay open until 7pm. We were shooed out of the door by the servers and told they were closed. People still drinking in and outside. Don't usually leave negative reviews but really disappointing as we just wanted a quick takeout coffee
This was my second time having coffee here, and I have to say, the taste of the coffee at this location is absolutely fantastic and truly stands out from all the other branches. It’s just amazing! The flavors are rich and unique. On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They always make sure you have a great experience. If you're a coffee lover, you definitely need to try this place!
Amazing service for the last 10 years by Antoinette always feel welcomed with her professional manner especially when we come as a family with kids. We are a regular customer at the Birstall store and the service by her and team is amazing. Don’t feel rushed it’s very peaceful . She needs a bonus pay Costa team. Thank you
Attended Sat 3rd September AM to be advised that their was no bacon or sausage baps left (which is OK if true, so we ordered something else) as we were leaving, we heard the staff advise 'a more regular customer' that whilst there was no bacon left, they could have a sausage instead'. Bit frustrating to be lied to and won't be coming back. Upside the coffee was decent.
When are Costa going to get with the programme?! Both myself and my daughter have dairy intolerances, and whilst they offer an alternative to milk, the choice of food is abysmal. I'm also coeliac, and there were a couple of small cake slices, hardly palatable in cellophane. Our local independent coffee shop has a huge range of gluten free/ vegan food, so why in this day and age, are Costa so dire. ?!
Quite expensive but expected as a franchise. They don't put aero bubbles on tip of mint aero hot chocolate either which it shows on the advert so my children were a little disappointed as that is why we went
Brownie and my usual salted caramel crunch with coffee and cream. Tastes great as always. Only downside the lady passed the brownie upside down and all the caramel came off but not too fussed still tastes lovely.
