Really nice place with great beer and the young couple running it get top marks from my wife and I.Hopefully they will be successful in making a good living from running it.The Plum Porter was especially good.

Attended a wedding reception in the upstairs function room. This was the first wedding they had held and it was stunning. Room looked lovely, has a bar in the room and it's own toilets. All staff were polite and helpful and the day/evening went without a glitch. Food they provided was delicious and plenty to go round. Owner popped in near the end to check everything was OK which was a nice touch.

Guinness was a little over priced. It was clean and seems well looked after but I did notice some mouldy picture up on the back walls. Fresh cods available

Always pop into this excellent hostelry when I'm in Dudley for the Winter Ales Fayre. Usually have a large selection of real ales on tap and space for my friends and I to sit down for a chat.

We were soaked to the skin and fed up of the rain, so went for a drink in The Court House. I had a lovely glass of red wine and Dusty had a glass of local stout. The fire was then lit and we went and sat near it to dry out. We were going to go for a curry next door but unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we had to find somewhere else to eat. If the curry house had been open, the plan was to go back to the pub for another drink before the concert. Alas we didn't make it back to the pub as the weather was so bad and we stayed where we were.

We stumbled across this place a few weeks back. Lived the last so much that we've been back a few times since. Popped in today to find my beloved Lemon Dream is no longer there. The landlord, Andy suggested a cracking couple of alternatives this afternoon. I had both in the end. Most pubs wouldn't go to the trouble of asking what sort of ales I do like to work out something I'd like. Really happy with our new found pub.

Price reductions at certain times in the day: 12-7pm, if my memory serves me right. I had a BFG and a cheese and onion cob for £5.45. Nice original features throughout the building and a view of the castle. I would go back back in the warmer months and check if there's a beer garden.

Good cooked fresh food. A great range of real ales and real ciders. They sell the regular mass produced commercial drinks too if that's what you like. The men's toilets are huge due to the history of this unique public house. During my visit there there was a nice roaring coal fire burning away. It's only a short walk away from the main bus station in Dudley so an ideal location for transport links.
