   I am extremely dissatisfied with this service. I have wasted a significant amount of time and patience trying to complete forms on a website that constantly malfunctions. The system repeatedly fails to allow me to finish the application before the appointment expires and becomes invalid. At the same time, there are no regular appointments available—only “premium” appointments, which appears to be an intentional way of forcing applicants to pay more. What is even more unacceptable is that the platform does not provide an option for families of more than three people. My family consists of six people. This is not a minor inconvenience; it effectively blocks us from applying properly and looks like discriminatory treatment of larger families. The form also requires me to enter an employer, even though I am self-employed—something that is extremely common in the UK. This raises a very basic question: who exactly was this system designed for, if it cannot handle normal, real-life situations? To make matters worse, the service fee is roughly twice the cost of my entire trip to Tenerife. I am disappointed not only by the pricing, but by the overall approach: poor functionality, artificial scarcity of standard appointments, and a system that seems designed to extract extra money rather than provide a fair and accessible application process. After reading numerous reviews, I have lost confidence in this process and I am looking for an alternative way to obtain a Schengen visa. I intend to contact the Spanish Embassy to request the opportunity to submit my application directly, without the involvement of questionable intermediaries.

   Excellent service. All staff were very cooperative and friendly. Also, the checklist we are receiving by email is for London, not for BLS Manchester. Please find attached the checklist for BLS Manchester visa applications. Additionally, if you have a premium appointment, you can come to BLS and get all your printouts done there, and they will assist you in sorting everything.

   Visa Centre Experience I went at the end of October 2025 and the visa centre was quite busy. Arrived 15 mins before my allocated slot as requested in their application letter. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful upon arrival - gave me a ticket to join the queue and a leaflet with instructions on the order of documents to give the visa staff. As I was getting my documents sorted my ticket number was called up. It was only then that I realised I needed to print something else and they asked me to email them the document and they’ll print it out. Glad that they could do it for me although I don’t think it’s a free service! Best to be as prepared as you can prior to the appointment. They didn’t ask for additional documents so I was asked to join a different queue for biometrics. It didn’t take long before I was called, did the fingerprints and photo then that was it. Post-application Experience You can check the status of your application from the official BLS website if you login to your account. I received text messages notifying that my application was with the Manchester Consulate and when my passport was going to be sent out. So I’d say the communication was good. It took 13 days to receive my passport back with the visa approved. When asked at the visa centre, the current processing time was 4-5 weeks. Overall I had a very good experience applying for a Schengen visa at BLS Spain Manchester.

   Excellent customer service. Staff needs 10 stars at reception. Other room is still needs some training to handle applicants specially the girl at counter 3 who doesn't seem trained and professionally dressed. Full points to ma'am who checks the file and speedily sends you from the waiting room for biometrics. She also points out your missing papers and quickly fixes them. Thank you for being so helpful.    Super speed and efficiency by lady checking the paperwork. She's terrific. She knows many ways to solve if we are stuck with any incorrect or missing documents. And the best part is her pleasant personality and patience with us. I haven't seen any visa centre being so helpful like this one. I have a special mention to make for the same person as she really helped me to complete my appointment and also updated me every time I emailed to check my update until received my passport with visa. She replied to my emails and updated me on every step of the process. I was really made to feel like a VIP. Remembering my name my details this personal touch is rare in people who take hundreds of appointments each day. Strongly recommend BLS Manchester.

   I have to recommend Visa office as it was the best service we received by any visa office so far. Always getting so much tensed when applying for a visa but Spain Manchester visa staff is so kind and cooperative. My kids were so happy to visit also. The reception lady who offered us water and crisps and made my kids feel comfortable in office is so nice that they wanted to visit her again.She also helped to complete the file and finish our appointment quickly as we were travelling from far with kids. The supervisor gave us priority as we were troubled because of missing documents.Great team great service. Office is small for busy hours but people keep moving in and out due to quick service.

   I had to give five stars as there was no higher rating for the superior service by BLS Spain Manchester staff.They are so friendly and keep all the visitors at ease.Specially the most efficient lady at reception who is a fantastic asset to the office. I reached at 8:45 am and watched her work tirelessly till I was finished with my procedure. She handled the entire front desk like a pro and with a friendly atmosphere for all of us.Full points to her for her hard work with so much fun. I heard her answering all doubts without a grin. It is nice to see such faces and it is not always we get lucky by getting so much value for our time and money. My feedback for her is beyond 5 star rating. Entire staff at the Manchester office is friendly and very helpful.
