We often get Too Good To Go carveries from here and the food is always so good and the people lovely. Jamie has served us a few times and always been sound, helpful and efficient. Best carvery in the area
What can I say - Food was exceptional and the service from Anne & Danni was unquestionable. They have the most incredible working ethic together and would not hesitate to return. It is customer service like theirs that is now extremely rare to come by so Thank you for a truly wonderful experience. I look forward to the next visit.
Visited today for a family gathering. Booked table for 10. Table decorated for Christmas with crackers and party poppers great touch for our family celebration. Allof us had a carvery. Food was hot and very tasty. We didn't have a particular waitress or waiter but the lad who cleared our table was polite and friendly. He even offered to take a family photo. Definitely recommend this pub.
Booked a table for 10 for a family dinner, our server Samantha kindly took our orders at the table. We ordered a variety of food, had to wait a while but that probably is a good thing as it means they are freshly made. Eaten there quite a few times but usually afternoons. Everyone enjoyed their meals and Samantha made sure that all of us were well looked after. Prices very reasonable too
Service in here is second to non. Very attentive, can't do enough for you. Mixed grill was lovely. Huge portion. Had to wait a while as their delivery was delayed but other than that, can't fault the place. Décor, atmosphere, everything about the place is great. Very family friendly and a wonderful beer garden to the side and rear. Highly recommend
They do a vegetarian carvery, which was decent. The staff member was also very helpful with dietary requirements. The decor of the place hasn't changed for many years though.
Decent choice of beers the IPA is ok the staff are pleasant. Prices a bit high tbh on.the drinks ..biggest problem was the huge sign outside which said 20% OFF FOOD AND DRINK with a Wednesday cinema ticket. Well it was Wednesday and no the offer would not be honoured because head office had taken the 20% OFF drinks option of the tills. The staff also being challenged by the guy behind me quickly removed the huge sign board. Great location by the canal and pleasant seating area outside good choice of food and sauces if limited in quality. Typical PUB food. Awaiting response from Greene King on my complaint which they say will be investigated thoroughly (lets see). I have to say I am pleased with the outcome I have recieved by email and will return. Worth a visit to make up your own mind definitely nowhere near as good as it could be and you should have honoured the Clearly Advertised deal before removing it.
Love this pub. Always has been nice and cosy and is a great pub for family meals as well as popping in for a quick one. The carvery was and always is great and tasty. Always leave this place satisfied. The kids love it aswell and always ask when we are going back. Great pub. 5 stars!!!!
Had dinner at the pub yesterday with my friends. The carvery was great at reasonable price and plenty of vegetables. I liked the mash potatoes, cheesy cauliflower and passion fruit mocktail! The ambiance was very impressive and I loved it! Will definitely recommend this place!
