I have always been very happy with UNIQLO’s product quality and reasonable pricing. I have shopped at this store (Westfield Stratford) a few times and have never encountered any issues. Unfortunately, an isolated incident happened today (1 Dec 2025). At around 2pm, I was shopping with my wife and trying on a Down Parka, and was about to make a purchase. While doing so, a female staff member approached me. She then told me that if I was trying on “more than one item,” I should go to the fitting room. This was incorrect, as I was clearly only trying one coat. Her tone was rude and it appeared that she was unhappy with me because the mirror I was using was located on a door she frequently used, though this was the only mirror available nearby. When we politely asked for her name, she refused to provide it, claiming she was “not allowed” to tell customers. Actually she had a lanyard with what appeared to be her name tag, but she had intentionally covered it with her clothing. She told us to talk to her manager and then called her using her mobile phone. More seriously, we believe she was secretly recording our conversation with her on her mobile phone. When we noticed her operating a recording app and questioned her, she denied recording us and claimed she was only recording her conversation with the manager. Given what we saw, this explanation did not reassure us, and it raised significant privacy concerns. She then took us to see the manager. We asked whether it was company policy for staff to withhold their names from customers and whether the staff was recording our conversations on her personal phone. The manager was probably not conversant in English as she just kept saying that she was the manager. She neither confirmed the policy nor checked with the staff what she recorded. She just advised us to make a formal complaint. The behaviour we encountered was unprofessional, discourteous, and raised potential privacy issues. Despite this experience, I still bought the coat I liked, but the experience left us very uncomfortable. Updates: 1 Dec 2025 - As advised by the store manager, I submitted a formal complaint to UNIQLO Customer Care and promptly provided all the additional details they requested to assist with their investigation. 10 Dec 2025 - I sent a follow up email. 22 Dec 2025 - I received a formal response. However, it described a completely different incident involving checkout and security, which did not occur in my case. I have since asked UNIQLO to review my complaint again so it can be investigated accurately. 30 Dec 2025 - UNIQLO has since reviewed the matter, provided clarification, and confirmed that additional staff training has been carried out. I appreciate their response and hope this helps improve future customer experiences.

As I walked into the store, I had explained I was here for a refund of the item I had purchased the previous week to the staff member at the entrance. Security 1 walked over and asked to see my receipt, I explained I was heading for refunds and showed him my receipt anyway, he handed it back. I was visibly shaken by his forceful and nonsensical approach and so decided to walk away. As I walked away from the store Security 2 followed me, blocked my way forward by walking into me, he then aggressively tugged my bag whilst attempting to put his other hand in my bag, which was already hovering close to my chest area. Consequently He violated my space and unjustly assaulted me. I was so scared that I called the police at the time and requested the manger attend. The member of staff who had witnessed the entire saga interjected and somehow verbalised everything accurately to her manager. They seemed to understand and did not peruse things further. This was a very harrowing experience and I cannot believe this happened. . I thought it best to make people aware of the over zealous balding ‘security guard 2’ with the twi accent. He didn’t have all the information but decided to take an aggressive physical approach until he saw me stand my ground and call the police. Further to that he used aggressive derogatory words towards me. Security 1 later accused me of tampering with the receipt. There was oddly no accusation of shoplifting but I believe this was because of my palpable indignation and proactive calm responses. I was racially profiled. *after writing this review, I’m even more horrified that there are others who have faced the same treatment in recent months Uniqlo please pay attention to the colourist angry security guards here.

If you are looking for period clothes with a modern and current design, don't miss this store, one of the many that exist in London. I went to buy a warm sweater and ended up bringing a bag with other items. I loved the payment system - arrive, place the basket and the system tells you how much I have to pay, confirm, pay and go :)

I'm really disappointed with the staff at this Uniqlo store in Stratford. Every time I ask if they have a size XS, they just tell me to "buy it online". Excuse me — that's really rude and unhelpful. They don't even bother to check the store inventory or make any effort to assist. The whole point of coming to the physical store is to try things on in person. If your staff just tells customers to shop online, then what's the point of having a store at all? Very poor service and attitude.

Been shopping here for years, but never once thought about leaving a review. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. I come here for my gym needs usually, but they sell everything, not just for gym. They also have collabs with other designers sometimes. The store sometimes gets very busy, but that’s due to their demand in quality clothing!

I love the stuff at UNIQLO it's well made, great quality, well priced and it lasts a very very long time. The staff are very efficient helpful and knowledgeable. Most days they exceed expectations and the service is very consistent. I always love going here and would recommend it to other people.

Heard the staff being very rude to an employee. She looked to be a manager and the attitude coming from her whilst other staff just listen in and do nothing about it is alarming. I don’t believe anybody in a working environment regardless of status should feel they are entitled to talk to staff members like that. - and this coldness radiates into store, the staff members seem to have no customer service skills and seem very rude, and snappy when you ask a question. These guys seriously need to have training on how to treat customers and one another. I won’t be coming back to this particular store again.

We've never had a bad experience visiting any of the stores in their chain and this be another one. The service was great, the staff we saw were helpful and smiling to most of their customers. We were looking for kids clothes and there were enough on sale but wished that section was a little wider in range. Getting here, Stratford (Docklands Light Railways/Central/Jubilee/Overground/TfL Rail/c2c/greateranglia) or Stratford Bus Station which caters to many buses, through Westfield Stratford City, floor 1.
