I used to genuinely love going to cake ole with my family. Loved the atmosphere and cakes. I ordered a naked Victoria sponge cake for my birthday, only to cut it and see no jam! I was absolutely gutted as I specifically requested Victoria sponge, with jam and spoke at length regarding the design of the cake, when I placed the order at the shop. I sent images and a lovely message on instagram to cake ole, quoting it may have been a genuine mistake. The response I received was, jam is not included unless requested, which I clearly did and was noted on the order. No apology or acknowledgement given, my message was ignored and no response was given. Truly gutted, as the owners are both genuinely lovely people, especially Richard. In future please take note of customers requests and a simple acknowledgment of being in the wrong would have been appreciated.

I felt like I’d climbed inside a rainbow and somebody has opened a cafe in there! Super welcoming and attentive service - they take note of regulars and their preferred food/drink orders, ready to help without helicoptering too much. Standard cafe food with sandwiches (big, 3 slices of bread), paninis, soup and cakes. Great choice of hot drinks and soft drinks (flavoured lemonade, ice cream floats!) and just a general all round inclusive vibe.

Nice cafe. Staff are always lovely. Little bit pricey. Fab decor. I prefer Keighley to Skipton as its the same but not as busy.

Outstanding customer service! Thank you so much to Neil and the team for the extra cake slice, the watermelon was as delicious as the cherry! It was (as usual) agonising deciding which flavour to choose, and your generosity keeps me coming back! Well done guys. Die hard fan. Shy

Warm welcome, lovely staff. Good service. Proper pot of tea, refreshing not to have a teabag! Having arrived from Haworth by steam train, seemed highly appropriate to use a tea strainer! Love the characterful & quirky decor. Lemon cake was moist.
