   The food was not as good as we have had previously. The waitress seemed almost annoyed that we needed time to read menus. She also got my mom tap water and my mom asked for bottled. We had to ask again and she asked if still or sparkling, mom wanted still. She still brought sparkling!! Mom didn't want to cause a fuss so said it will do, proceeded not to drink much of it. We ordered 3 rum hot chocolate, which was just under 10 pound each. It was barely warm. Disappointed and not our normal experience. However we do normally go to Harrogate which is amazing. Mom loved her cinnamon toast with berries and cream. My sister loved her olive bread roll, but the soup was so so. I had a melted caramel fat rascal which was hard and not filled with melted caramel, more of a touch of sticky firm sweet pea sized caramel. I did try and talk to server who was no where to be seen u til we put our coats on. Then she arrived in seconds to take payment. Harrogate is definitely a much nicer place for afternoon treats.

   I had always wanted to visit this tea room since I came to the UK in 2023, but never had the chance until now! I was hoping to try their afternoon tea package, but unfortunately it was out of stock, so we ordered other dishes instead. Still, I really loved how beautifully the food was served and how elegant the restaurant felt. There’s also a shop at the front selling cakes, jams, and teas. I picked up one of their jams, and it quickly became a favorite of mine. I’m usually not a big fan of fruit jams, but Betty’s makes an exceptional one!

   The best tea rooms in the UK. The loose leaf Betty's tea room blend is delicious. The cakes are of very good quality fondant fancies and vanilla slices are superior to anything available elsewhere. The fat rascals are so buttery. We are regulars in Ilkley. Can't beat it for a proper tea room experience. Not just for cakes - lunch items are delicious too.

   Not much of a queue today but it was busy inside. The food was great staff are polite & friendly. The salmon was delicious and mum had a small fish & chips which is her favourite. My daughter had chicken which was also delicious served within a reasonable time. Tea & coffee always a good cuppa. Well worth a stop off if you’re in the area.

   Came to Ilkley by train for a day out and headed first to Betty's for breakfast. It was very busy, but we did not have to wait long. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we had an amazing breakfast. Visited the bakery on the way out and bought some snacks for later, and they were also amazing! Not as pricey as I was expecting, and absolutely good value for money. Can't wait to visit again!

   A day to remember starts with a sumptuous breakfast at Bettys! They call it imperial and after savouring it , I think they might be right. I can describe how delicious the food was, but Betty comes as a whole dining experience. The quaint hues of the place crayoned by the lights, the mirrors, the large windows, the presentation of the food, the amiable and well mannered personnel with their Betty's costumes keep alive the authentic charm born in 1919. Betty carried " herself" well through time, bringing taste and elegance to our modern days.

   ALWAYS a pleasure to eat at ANY Betty's Tea Room. Fat Rascals are a MUST HAVE! They never DISAPPOINT! One of our party has a specific nut allergy and our server informed us that in such circumstances the kitchen has set protocol. ALWAYS INFORM !

   It's hard not to like Betty's. As a southerner living in Yorkshire, it captures things I love about the place - a warm welcome, classic comfort and a large selection of cakes and other tasty morsels. There's a grand array of tea and coffee, and an indulgent breakfast and lunch menu to enjoy in a heavily mirrored but still oddly elegant Victorian style dining room. Beware, the queues get very long as it is very popular with locals and tourists, summer and winter. And don't expect the bill to be small for enjoying such a popular attraction.
