Lovely old school building. Friendly staff who made us two motorcyclists feel very welcome. Good food and a very nice place to visit.
Was really looking forward to afternoon tea at this place I'd heard good things about it. On this occasion I was sadly disappointed. Afternoon tea to me is a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, we were asked to choose 1 filling for one big sandwich. Although very tasty it was thick sliced bread and just too much. We were also only offered one cake choice, it would have been nicer to have smaller pieces of different cakes, and unfortunately my funfetti cake had been heavily laced with sugar syrup rendering it too sweet to eat. The homemade coleslaw that came with the sandwiches was delicious though , I just think it didn't measure up for me and my friend .
Lovely ladies providing service with a smile at this dog friendly cafe. The food was spot on. Just what we were looking for after a stroll around Clumber Park.
We've been here twice for lunch and both times were not disappointed! The service is exceptional and the food is really tasty with huge portions! My personal highlight is the homemade soup, which is absolutely excellent!
Being a fairly regular visitor to this cafe and loving their bacon, brie and cranberry panini ( best I've ever tasted). I was disappointed in the food today. A friend and I decided to go and have a Turkey Xmas lunch. Roast potatoes tough, pig in blanket overcooked, vegetables bland all swimming in a watery flavourless gravy. The test of a cafe is would you go back, yes we would go back to The Old Scholl House but no we wouldn't have a Xmas lunch again.
Called in for lunch, ate outside. Service was friendly and fast. We had sandwhich platter which was delicious and filling. Would recommend if passing.
