IT'S FREE! Great place to come and learn about the mining industry. The staff are lovely and there's a cafe to relax in if you want. Very Interesting, the kids loved it.

Visited the museum after walking the dogs. The engine room is a great place to visit if you like seeing how the mine used to operate. There are plenty of miniature working models which are fascinating to see. The craftsmanship in building these models is second to none. The two engine that were used to send the men down and coal up the mineshaft are still I'm place and still.run on special days.

There's two cafes on site one just for the humans and one for the doggies and their human family. Its no longer a working pit. And the rewilding of the surrounding area is very well done. Because I remember it when it was black and very dusty.

I love this place, volunteer cooks, mostly older people doing the cooking do it's done right. They have a dog friendly hut where you can sit after a long walk around Pleasley country park. Great atmosphere, everyone chats to you. There is a separate dog free cafe next door. Good old fashioned english food.

There is a dog-friendly portion of the cafe, which I visited, which was very pleasant and relaxed with some fur covered friends getting doggie sausages. We just stopped for a breakfast buttie and a cuppa and I am pleased we did. I will stop in of passing again.

Great little cafe with really reasonable prices. I visit the dog friend side quite often and the volunteers are friendly, efficient and work really hard but they do need more to help to manage the demand, especially at weekends. We'll with a visit

Wonderful little place, volunteers only too happy to give a guided tour around the old buildings, cafe extremely good value and staff so helpful. Great walks around the area with some stunning views! All in all a fab few hours out, great views and great value
