Absolutely delicious coffee, I had a bacon cob that was perfectly cooked and my husband had the best avocado on toast he’s had. Really lovely, we will be going again.

I stopped in at Roots coffee lounge on Good Friday after a walk around Pleasley Vale. Even though I live close by I had never been in before. I was really impressed initially with the welcoming atmosphere, it felt like somewhere you could relax and enjoy your drink. The cakes were delicious too. The service was friendly and efficient especially from Lara ( I think). I would thoroughly recommend stopping here if passing or making a special trip to Pleasley for a good cup of coffee and some cake.

First visit to this coffee shop today and loved it. Really nicely decorated, relaxing atmosphere. The coffee was delicious, and so was the food.

Wow. What an amazing discovery. A few minutes from the motorway and easy parking. The coffee is real, roasted by the folks who run the cafe. They know all about coffee and it was great to chat about coffee beans, how they're sourced and processed and all the factors that go into making real coffee. But it's not just for afficionados! They know that most people just want what they like without going into the ins and outs of the ingredients and processes. The cakes were very fresh and very tasty. The lunches were also superb, freshly made with good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, with plenty of space to sit. There is a stock of games for the kids, books to read... all sorts! This is an accommodating and welcoming place, and we'll be back as soon as we can!

I live about a mile from Roots, and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.

Fantastic little coffee shop definitely what the area needed. Look decor and friendly staff, nice food and drinks and we love that it's dog friendly so that makes it 5* for us! Car parking can be a little tight but theres lots of space next door and very easy to walk to as well! Keep up the great work guys!

This is a fantastic coffee shop. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the coffee they serve. Had the best coffee I've ever tasted from Roots, and it was cheaper than Costa/Starbucks! If you like coffee and haven't tried Roots, then you're missing out! I have recommended Roots to all my friends and family, and will continue to do so!

This is a very nice coffee shop for it's location. It's not a building that jumps out to you as a few other businesses share the premises. Parking is a little tricky but the quality of the coffee and food options makes it worth it and a great find. They do a good selection of drinks that are above the average selection such a bounty hot chocolate with all the extras like cream and marshmallows. The seating arrangement is good for a mixture of sizes such as couples or groups of up to 10 people. They also do a loyalty card which seemed ok at first because they stamped twice for 2 drinks but it appears that this was a mistake as they should give one stamp for a transaction. In otherwords with the group of 7 that we had you would only get one stamp if you all paid together. A stamp for a drink would be better suited and make it easier to get enough stamps for one free drink. We will return for a coffee again but because it's not local it will take a long time before getting that free drink which can defeat the purpose of a loyalty card as an incentive to return.

Not much to look at from the outside, but inside, it looks like a big city coffee shop, only its situated on the outskirts of Mansfield in the sleepy suburbs of Pleasley. I popped in and had a latte and a Danish pastry, both very nice. They use 200 degrees coffee, and I'd make an assumption that they also used the same for training on the basis that although the coffee was nice, it wasn't quite hot enough for my liking, which having visited a number of 200 degrees stores, seems to be a common feature (you have to ask for it to be extra hot !) In the big city, or even out in somewhere like the peak district, this place would be packed, I just hope they manage to get enough trade to stay open as it really is a nice coffee shop.
