Really great experience at the DFS in Stockport. The staff are always friendly and very helpful the moment you walk in and helped with any queries or questions myself and my partner had. When purchasing our sofa, Sean made sure we had all the information we needed and made the whole process smooth and easy and he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were also assisted by another lovely gentleman a few weeks earlier (unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but he was working late morning on the Saturday 9/11), and he was also very helpful. The staff are a real credit to the store, and we would 100% recommend and purchase from DFS Stockport again.

I really do wish they would let us give zero stars but even that would be too many for DFS, I can not believe how badly you have treated my elderly, vulnerable parents, over a bloody sofa, and I would strongly recommend that no one uses DFS, they are quite happy to smile and lie to your face while getting the sale, but not so quick to help, when they mess up the payment and order, leaving two vulnerable people with severe anxiety and distress over what should of been a pleasurable purchase. ZERO STARS Order Cancelled.

My experience at DFS stockport has been horrible. One of the sales advisors Alan sold me a sofa under false pretenses. It is my first time buying a sofa which i made clear to him as i am first time buyer. On the phone he talks over you and his behaviour is next to aggressive. I took up sofa care and now i am being told i can't have my sofa cleaned!! This was my first soda buying experience and it has been appalling. I am being told i am not entitled to sofa care because I had my sofa changed as i didnt like it. Also speaking to the manager Mike was also a nightmare and it felt like no one wanted to help me. The staff here is extremely disrespectful and what ever you do, do not buy a sofa from DFS stockport!!!!! They will make your life hell!!

DFS Furniture Store Review: DFS is a well-known furniture retailer in the United Kingdom, offering a wide range of sofas, chairs, tables, and other home furniture items. Here is a review of DFS based on various aspects: Product Quality: DFS offers furniture items that are generally of good quality. Their sofas, in particular, are known for their durability and comfort. The materials used are often of decent quality, ensuring that the furniture lasts for a long time. Variety: DFS has a diverse range of furniture options to cater to different tastes and preferences. They offer various styles, colors, and sizes, allowing customers to find something suitable for their home decor. Whether you prefer modern, traditional, or contemporary designs, you are likely to find something that suits your style at DFS. Customer Service: DFS has a decent customer service department that is usually responsive and helpful. They have knowledgeable staff who can assist you in finding the right furniture and answer any queries you may have. However, some customers have reported issues with delivery delays or difficulties in resolving certain customer service issues. Delivery and Assembly: DFS provides delivery services for their furniture items. The delivery times can vary, but they usually provide an estimated delivery date upfront. Additionally, DFS offers an assembly service for an extra fee, which can be convenient for customers who are not comfortable assembling furniture themselves. Price and Value: DFS is known for offering furniture at a wide range of price points, catering to different budgets. While they have some affordable options, their higher-end furniture can be quite expensive. However, the quality and durability of their products often justify the price, providing good value for money. Overall, DFS is a reputable furniture store with a wide selection of products and decent customer service. However, it is always recommended to visit a store in person or check customer reviews to get a better understanding of the specific items you are interested in purchasing.

Poorly manufactured Sofas. We bought our sofas about 4 years ago, but it had started to dip about 2 years in, during at which time we had the pandemic. I went into the Stockport store over the weekend and asked the advisor if the sofas come with warranty to which he replied yes 15 years for cushions springs and something else. I then went on to say well actually mine has started to dip 4 years in to which he quickly responded i would be out of warranty??? Go figure? He suggested I emailed the store and have since been told I should have been turning the cushions, which I can't because they are fixed!? The advisor then offered to give me a number for which I can get a quote for repair so I said OK after giving me the number she then says actually you better check there is no call out charge - unbelievable! I had my last sofa for 12 years and sold it on as it was in excellent condition. Wont be buying your rubbish again DFS!

Ordered 2 sofas, both guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Email to say delivery in 22nd. Got rid of it of sofa and waited in for the time slot. No show so called them. 45 mins on hold to be told there was a delay at the depo so might be with you tonight. Told we we 3rd delivery then 6th in the same call. Sofa never arrived so called again and was told it might come tomorrow (23rd) because it was never loaded on the the van due to system error. Called again on 23rd and told it would arrive on the 27th December. I wasn’t happy so said cancel the item and refund me. Agent advised a manager would call me back. Received call off manager and told me there was a foam issue and wouldn’t be with me until 10th Jan 2023. He then offered me a 10% discount on the sofas. The problem isn’t just that they have lied all the way through. If you do your research you’ll find that they have faced various other issues such as, parts missing, discoloured sofa, damaged sofa, wet sofas, miss legs, miss cushions and the list goes on. This isn’t a Christmas issue it’s a serious internal issue which has clearly been fixed going for over a year. They store the furniture in Warrington which isn’t fit for purpose. I strongly advise that if you are going to purchase a sofa then firstly, do not pay a deposit. Do not get rid of your sofas. Your finance will only start once you’ve received them but if you have put down a deposit it’s unlikely you will get it back. Some customers are having to take the through the small track claims court to get their money back. Please don’t think this review is a one off disgruntled customer. There are thousands of us which all had our Christmas ruined.

Ordered a sofa on express service weeks ago; told it would be three weeks and that it would be here well in time for Christmas. After hearing nothing about my sofa for six weeks I called DFS who told me the sofa was arriving in a few days time. God rid of my sofa and then when delivery day arrived, no sofa appeared. The sofa hadn’t been made up and was still in the factory awaiting foam and fabric. Latest update is that my sofa won’t arrive now in time for Christmas and I have no furniture to sit on. To even find this information out has taken days of continuous chasing and long calls to DFS - every customer service assistant also tells you something different too. When I spoke to customer services today about a refund, they said they weren’t sure they could even give me that because I purchased in store and not online - the rules are apparently different. The customer service here has been non existent and they have, in no uncertain terms, ruined my Christmas. I was debating whether to go with a local sofa firm or here and I’m sorry to say I chose DFS. I would not recommend them in the slightest and just wish I’d have looked at their social media pages first - there are so many customers in a similar position to me. DFS initially told me the delay was because of a national foam shortage but it turns out they also don’t even have the fabric for my chairs either - they are awaiting a delivery from abroad for that which is expected to take weeks. It’s been a nightmare experience - go elsewhere.

Absolutely appalling customer service. We have now been waiting 3 months for some leather wipes that we have paid for. We purchased a natural leather sofa from these guys for nearly 5k!! All we want to do is look after the sofa as advised, to stop in staining of this more sensitive leather. Very good at taking your money!

Been great and very easy process buying our sofa from DFS. Lots to choose from and got to say we travelled around a few places looking, sitting and debating but all agreed DFS had the nicer sofas that also felt sturdier and like they would stand the test of time. We were treated exceptionally well by the staff who brought us drinks and as much as you could tell they were trying to sell the furniture to us (that is their job after all) they still respected our space and gave us distance when we required it. We chatted with few different staff members but ultimately we were dealt with by Derek who was truly lovely. He was knowledgeable about the products and their pros and cons and he kept us posted every step of the way, phoning us personally when there was a little wrinkle in the process- an easily sorted one - and we appreciated this very much. We felt very much that we've got a good deal for our money and had a great range to choose from and that the staff were welcoming, friendly and respectful.
