I arrived at around 12:30 on a rainy Monday. Parking was free and plentiful. The cafe was fairly busy with a mix of dog walkers, walkers and parents with small children. From a fairly short menu I picked their signature Dukes burger, which with fries and salad came to a relatively expensive £14, as well as a cup of excellent tea. The burger was great! It fully justified the price with cheese, pickles and crispy onions in a high quality brioche bun. If you examine the photos it is clearly thick and missing the caramalised edges of a smash burger, but excellent all the same. The fries were clearly bought in, but we're well cooked and hot. Heinz ketchup and mayo and sardines vinegar continued the quality theme. They don't make their cakes on site, using two local suppliers, but when the cakes are this good, I really don't mind. I had a lemon meringue cronut which was a revelation. The sweet chewy meringue contrasting perfectly with the crispy cronut and tart lemon curd. The coffee was pretty good too.

I took a Toddler Group trip here today and we were so well cared for. The staff were lovely and very tolerant of our noise and chaos! It was raining, which we hadn't expected, so we were indoors for quite a long time and there was no sense of needing to move on or be quiet. Thank you.

Lovely cafe in Norfolk park. There is an amazing selection of sweet treats at the counter. Had the duke monsier (ham hock and cheese toastie with melted cheese and rosemary salt on top) with salad and fries. Everything was delicious and warm. Friendly service and atmosphere.
