Today Sunday 30 November we were served by Hannah. What a breath of fresh air she was. Never in a costa have I met such a professional, welcoming and engaging person. She is a credit to the shop. The food and coffee were fab too. Thank you Hannah for your outstanding service today.

Myself and a friend were served by Danny and Ellie this afternoon. We checked with them on the ingredients in some drinks, as my friend has allergies to soy, dairy and gluten. We decided on a fruit smoothie and they kindly rinsed and washed everything they were using to ensure no cross contamination. They went above and beyond with such understanding and kindness. Would definitely return!

usually go to the Costa at Kilner Way Retail Park, which is always 10/10 β great drinks and lovely staff. Unfortunately, this Costa was the complete opposite. I only came here because itβs close to my sonβs rugby team, but this is now the third time Iβve had a bad experience. The drinks were really poor, and the staff were unfriendly and not welcoming at all. I wonβt be visiting again. Such a shame, as I usually love Costa, but this branch really lets the brand down.

Music, lots of space, car park. 3 loos. Everything clean. Best Costa visited in a while. Stayed in so cannot comment on the drive through service.

Nice and clean inside, friendly staff and decent quality coffee. Very spacious and nice atmosphere. Great place to enjoy a relaxing coffee. This store also has a drive through.

Really poor Latte I've been given here a few times. The staff always seem to be whispering to each other on the headsets which I find unprofessional. I recommend less of that and more time learning how to make good coffee.

First visit in a while and the seating area was closed. Drive-thru only but still good service from the team. Nice hot coffee to go.

I called in around 12 today and used the drive through. All I wanted was a large tea and when I asked for it, the response I got back through the speaker was "You do know this is a coffee shop?" I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and presume it was an attempt at humour/banter but I found myself justifying why I wanted a tea, until the voice responded "Well go on then." When I got to the service window, the gent continued with more of the same. He told me I could have what I wanted but he couldn't understand why people would come to a coffee shop and order tea. I found myself feeling I needed to defend my tea choice again. I responded outwardly with an attempt at 'banter' but felt uncomfortable. While I shouldn't have to offer an explanation as to why I was trying to buy something from the menu, in this case I will and maybe something can be learnt from it. If I'm calling at Costa for a cup of tea, there is a high probability that my day has been chaotic to the degree I haven't had the time to make one for myself. Today was one of those days. I had just left a funeral directors having paid respects to my deceased relative. With an hour of driving in front of me, miserable weather and knowing I had a heavy afternoon trying to help a friend suffering with their mental health, call me British; but I wanted a cup of tea to make things feel better. That I'm still mulling this over hours later probably indicates how much better it made me feel. Maybe a heavy day has made me overly sensitive. As I said, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and presume it was an attempt at banter and not an inherent hatred of tea but either way, I'll certainly think twice about calling in again if I'm expected to justify my selection from the menu.

23/10/2022 at 09:40, went in for breakfast, taking our reusable Costa Bean 2 Cups (340 ml) and was served by Ellie H. I ordered 2 medium Cappuccino (362 ml) along with two bacon rolls, which I normally do elsewhere to get the breakfast deal with Β£2 off each bacon roll. Ellie politely insisted that our cups counted as small (287 ml). Whilst I appreciate that she felt she was being helpful, my reusable cups are closer to medium than they are to small. And by insisting that our drinks were small drinks, we were ineligible for the breakfast offer, meaning that we paid more than we otherwise have done had we been charged for medium drinks as I requested. It is the first time I've been challenged when using my cups at any Costa branch. Next time I will speak up at the counter. I didn't want to embarrass Ellie or make myself look like the bad guy by standing up for myself. Instead I've complained to Costa via the website. This is a great location, the food and coffee good and the service friendly. It would just be nice that when a staff member uses their initiative that they consider the bigger picture and don't do something detrimental to the customer, such as making them overpay.

The staff at this place canβt do enough for you. They work very hard and deserve recognition . Always lane my fave Costa to go too. Friendly atmosphere and the staff still stay calm under so much pressure . I truly hope these lovely people get treated well by the company over worked and under paid thatβs my view on things .
