Food was good, the reason I'm leaving a review is because we came in and was instantly greeted with a sign stating sorry because of staff wages we have had to increase prices! Now I'm not against increases in prices but to essentially put a sign like this just reads wrong in the customer's minds as in its the staffs fault you have to meet your legal obligations! Please take this sign and change due to increase in costs we have had to increase, cost has gone up everywhere. I as a staff member would not like this sign!

The people are lovely, but the cafe is not. It is very cheap, but it is cheap and nasty. The seats are dirty and the food is very poor. Bacon sandwiches are 1/3 fat and jacket potatoes come with cheap mozzarella cheese, not cheddar. Both were very bland and we felt sick afterwards. Don't recommend.

Change of name from Ruby Lous to The Patio I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Patio, and I can confidently say it's a hidden gem in the city. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate. The cleanliness of the restaurant is impeccable, creating a pleasant and hygienic dining atmosphere. The staff were fantastic β friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure a great experience for all guests. One of the standout aspects of The Patio is its cost-effectiveness. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for both casual meals and special occasions. Moreover, The Patio goes above and beyond in accommodating everyone, including people with special needs. The restaurant is fully accessible, and the staff are trained and ready to assist with any specific requirements. Overall, The Patio is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. With its delectable food, pristine environment, superb staff, and inclusive approach, it truly offers an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended!

Working away from home and having two days off I decided to have a walk about and came across Ruby lous had the daily special of chicken curry served with rice chips and naan bread lovely. Visited again today and having missed breakfast at the hotel that's what I decided on ordering the beat breakfast I have had in a very very long time. Staff lovely and friendly quick service nothing is a problem for them highly recommend for traditional home cooked food.

This is a brilliant little restaurant/pub !!! I have gone here many years and the staff are always welcoming and so friendly. The food is always fresh and homemade and it always tastes amazing. The prices are reasonable and you get quality food for a good price. There's lots of options and they have gorgeous puddings too. I would recommend Ruby Lou's to anyone and everyone. Please support this little business
