What a great night Halloween was here. Fabulous DJ every tune was a toe tapping floor filler. The staff were great fun and the whole atmosphere was simply the best. Celebrated my birthday here last night with friends and had a wonderful evening. Thank you The Woods.
Came in for a spontaneous lunch whilst in the area. Really interesting place with a good vibe. Roaring fire made it feel really homely. Service was friendly and polite. Drinks and food came pretty quickly and the burgers were great. Excellent value and excellent taste. Spiced chips were top-notch too!
Incredibly disappointed after looking forward to a night out with the family. Burgers were OK, but the wings were really tiny & dry. Great location for a drink though, especially when the live band is playing.
Had a great time here. The roof top terrace is good. Lots of outdoor seating and under cover. Friendly bar staff that looked after us. The food was really nice. Excellent wings and burgers. The halloumi burgers were top notch. The only issue was we were there for a christening so lots of kids and there was no plastic bottle soft drinks which did end in a glass being dropped and smashed by a kid.
Amazing service and venue! Just been for a baby shower. They accommodated last minute so well for my friend who had a nightmare with a venue that cancelled on her. Anyways it worked out for the best because the terrace was beautiful space! Super intimate and great on a sunnys day! Service was amazing from Ian who catered so well behind the bar and thank you so much for saving my dress with safety pins!
Went to the All Killer No Filler night. Absolutely fantastic night, great tunes and atmosphere. Lucky to have such an amazing venue nearby.
Nice bar with a good selection of drinks. The pizzas are very nice too. The ambience is nice outside and good for polite conversation. I always find the music too loud inside to converse without shouting.
The venue was so cold my companion put her coat back on and a diner at another table asked the server to stoke the log fire it was that cold, service was slow. After waiting over 30 minutes we went in search of our server to place our food order - there were only two other dining tables Portions were child-size at best. They are toasting their advertised “crusty bread” to hide stale bread. The bread they served was the cob end and inedible. It was so hard that I lacerated the roof of my mouth. To top it all I was charged for a drink I never ordered or received. Management was informed and they have brushed off my complaint as irrelevant. I wouldn't return to this venue
Atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly and accommodating. The food and drink left a lot to be desired. The cola they brought us was really pale and tasted like soda water, but the staff did fix this and bring us new ones. I ordered a cheese and onion pie. The pie itself was burnt, and the wedges were overcooked. The "spring greens" were just a serving of boiled kale that was incredibly watery and chewy. There wasn't a part of the meal that wasn't tough to eat.
Good pizza, not amazing, but enjoyable. Interesting beers available. Big space, we had a reservation and had plenty room. Think there reservation system could be improved, you request it and they confirm, but you cannot see availability immediately.
