    Called on a Monday and booked my car in for a diagnosis on Wednesday. Dropped it off at 9am — no updates, no communication all day. When I called at 4pm, I was met with an arrogant attitude and told, “Don’t call, I’ll call you.” I pointed out that it was already 4pm, but still received no follow-up. The next day, I called again — still nothing had been done. I ended up collecting my car, and was met with the same rude, dismissive attitude. Avoid this garage! Zero customer service — and if this is how they treat customers, how can you possibly trust their work?

    Utterly unprofessional and unreliable. I booked appointments with this garage twice, and both times my car was left completely unattended. When I called to ask why, the response was dismissive and downright rude. If you value your time and respect, avoid this place.

    We were signposted to CMS AUTOS from a mechanic we had used previously..... as the work needed to be done on our motor was a job he didn't want to do?... CMS AUTOS were very honest and professional in there diagnosis of the damaged engine... Slavic the owner explained honestly the cost and man hours it would take to repair...basically it was an engine right off... we left it with him for a few days ..he then called us in to view the damage...The cost to repair was more than the car was worth!!! So we made the decision not to have it repaired and write it off... I cannot fault the expertise and service WE have received from CMS AUTOS.... Already booked our other car in for service and will continue to do so... AS will family members... MANY THANKS... K&V

    I went to CMS Auto Service for an MOT, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The staff member I dealt with was arrogant and dismissive, especially when speaking to me as a woman. When I dropped off the car, there was no mention of any issue with the number plate. After the MOT, I was told the car had failed and that the number plate needed to be changed. He offered to replace it for an additional £35, which I accepted. I paid £45 for the MOT and specifically asked if there would be any further charges—he assured me there wouldn’t be. The next day, I returned as agreed, but he said he was too busy and told me to come back the following day. When I did, he again claimed to be busy and told me to either leave the car for a few hours or come back yet again. I came back at 11 AM the next morning, and he dismissed me saying, “I told you morning, this is midday.” I replied that 11 AM is still morning, and asked him to give me a specific time so I could stop being sent back and forth. Eventually, when he did change the number plate, he demanded an additional £31 for the installation—something he had never mentioned before. When I questioned it, he arrogantly said, “Did you expect me to do it for free?” This MOT cost me £111. I felt completely taken advantage of. This kind of behaviour feels dishonest and unprofessional, and I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before choosing this garage.

    My Partner & I bought a used Volvo estate from CMC auto service and we are Bristol based. It was so worth the drive, the service and after sales service is second to none. After buying vehicles for over 25 years I have never dealt with such an honest and trustworthy used car seller. I doubt I’ll buy another used car from anywhere else. I can’t recommend them enough. We had an unforeseen issue arise with our car after buying it and without question it was taken back and repaired free of charge. It turned out the Volvo main dealer who serviced it last had cut some corners on what should have been done and there was no way to tell. Massive thanks for such a professional approach to selling cars in what is usually a minefield for used car buyers.

    Before I give my reasons for the 1*, I’d like to point out that I have over a decade of experience in the retail industry so I fully understand and excel in customer service, however that is not what I experienced today. I let a lot of things go but I feel compelled to share this because the more I think about it, the more offended I feel. Long story short, I’m a first time driver with my first car (bought from dealership), however not experienced enough on what to do when new problems present themselves regarding the car but I’ll learn as it comes. Got my first fault just 4 months after purchase that required a mechanic so I needed a garage that accepts warranty work. Unfortunately I tried a dozen garages near me and they all declined my business when I mentioned the word warranty, so I contacted the dealership where I bought the car and they recommended this garage. It’s a distance (27miles) but I needed my car fixed for work and to support my family. Drove there, met with the owner and all was going fine. Conversations coming to an end but because I’m an outsider and unfamiliar with the area I needed to do something to kill time so I asked what’s nearby and got directed to the city centre and because I don’t know how long I’ll have to be there for, I asked him one last question and this is where it went south fast. I simply asked, “do you know how long it’ll be?”. That’s it. Now, regardless of how busy you are, there are so many ways to answer that question in a civilised manner but the owner decided to go with “Hey, you come to me, you came up to Redditch, I have 2 other cars to do before I see yours, I’m not going to rush them for you. I’ll call you when it’s done”. I just wanted an approximate time so I knew how long I’d have to be there for but due to that unnecessary response, I used the next few minutes to call garages near me again for a quote without warranty as I’d rather invest my money in to a business that appreciates their customer’s and found one with a cheaper offer. It’s a shame really, most comments are 5* and I thought I would get a quality experience but turns out I drove over 30 minutes to be spoken to in a demeaning way and made to feel small. Maybe the place is great and I came on a off day or he was stressed or unhappy but whatever the case, you should never treat your customers like that, period.
