   I’ve just had the worst experience ever at the Halfords garage in Redditch. James and Reece were completely unprofessional, and it’s clear they lack both customer service and mechanical competence. I went in personally in the beginning of December to arrange a booking to get my brakes repaired, something urgent for MOT, since they’ve already gave me a quotation back in September. They scheduled me for the Saturday at 8:30am (today). I arrived slightly ahead of my appointment and anticipated that the brakes would be repaired prior to the MOT. However, when I returned around 3:30pm, James informed that the MOT had failed and that the car would require two days of of additional work. This left me feeling unsafe, uneasy, and I felt the information provided was not transparent, clear or reliable. Then he checked the available dates and informed me that the earliest appointment would be at the end of January. Overall, the experience was extremely frustrating. Waste of time and life. I immediately contacted Halfords Autocentre in Solihull, they advised me to call Halfords Customer Service to report how disappointed I was. They even said they could hear how upset I sounded, literally said they could hear the hurt in my voice. I genuinely felt unsafe at the Redditch Autocentre. The place has this strange, zombie apocalypse atmosphere. One of the staff had a splint on his hand and was limping, and you can’t really tell if they’re listening to you or not or even if they're paying attention.

   Even though this branch is very busy the staff remained professional and friendly. I think the manager was called Dan, he was a good communicator and explained everything thoroughly. Will definitely use them again.

   They had got what I needed,but unfortunately the wiper blade was missing a clip from the box so I've not been able to fit it yet. I'll have to buy another and keep this one as a spare. Staff were helpful in directing me where to locate items in-store.

   Says on the website "same day puncture repair" my repair took 3 days, including 1 day which they cancelled. I asked for all my tyres to be checked. After driving the car for about 20 minutes, message on the dashboard asking for 2 tyres pressures to be checked. Also, charged an extortionate amount for 1 tyre.

   Booked in an air con diagnostics for 3.13-3.30pm on 09.06.2025 Arrived at 3pm. The person at empty reception did not even acknowledge me. Explained that I had a booking but arrived slightly early. The person asked me if it was with them or next door. I said it was with them, he said there was no such appointment. After spending some time on his pc, huffing and puffing he said the details were there but were not put on the correct system. Halfords closes 6pm, having waited for their phone call for couple of hours, I made my way to the garage at 5.55pm. Again the same person at empty reception did not even acknowledge me. He then proceeded to ask one of the mechanics who just said that he was leaving home, if my car had been dealt with, to which the other guy replied that he was not even aware of the car waiting to be checked. He then kept the car in the bay for around 20 minutes, looking for something, chatting to colleagues and walking around with a can of pop. The whole £34.99 check lasted 2-3 minutes. Upon arriving home I found out that they could not even be bothered to screw valve caps back in. Terrible service, absolutely avoid.

   Took my car here for a 5 point vehicle check. All staff very friendly and car was seen to straight away. I mentioned my lights and they swapped one of the front side lights free of charge - thought this was really kind and a lovely gesture. The staff were informative when feeding back about my car. Will definitely be visiting again. Many thanks for cheering up my day!

   Booked a time slot appointment for some new tyres. Paid for in advance, to be told when I got there I'd have to leave the car because they haven't got enough staff. So I had to call for a lift home, then back again. Pointless have booked time slots

   What's the point in booking a time slot for a single tyre if after two hours you haven't done anything. Next time will use a proper tyre place, these guys are clearly incapable of managing a schedule. If it was booked in late in the day you'd maybe understand more, but it wasn't.

   Absolutely fantastic customer service from beginning to end. Dealt with Simon at the front desk and he was efficient and explained the issue with my tyre. He went above and beyond to make the experience great. This guy needs some recognition! Also the online booking system is brilliant and so quick. Lots of an communication via email and phone. Thanks again and will be back!

   We brought a dodgy car yesterday, which had a problem with a clutch, the garage we brought from were trying to get out of giving us a refund. After following advice from citizens advice, i came to halfords to get a clutch inspection, they inspected the clutch, wrote a full report. With this I was able to use it as evidence to get my money back. The guys were so friendly, they managed to fit me even though they had no appointments online. They talked me through everything and explained absolutely everything to me. Highly recommend this garage, they didnt charge me a penny either. As a woman you always worry about getting ripped off, but these guys were 10000% genuine, and so nice. Thank you to Andy for fitting me in, and writing up the report, and the 2 lads that inspected my car, didn't catch names, but they were wonderful.
