Entered your store yesterday at about half5, was immediately greeted by a staff member called Rani (I think) who asked if he could help. I was looking for an engine oil cap urgently. He said the store didn’t sell them but went out of his way to ring around every store (not exclusively a Halfords) and then finally a scrapyard where I managed to get one. The customer service excelled and I was so grateful as I didn’t know what to do. Thank you so much, you made a stressful situation so much better. One of the nicest people I’ve come across.
I’ve been here a few times for separate issues, the staff are friendly and polite and always happy to help. One was a gent that fitted two new bulbs just before the store closed and another was a lovely lady who did my battery straight away today. Got a brand new battery fitted today and they discussed the Halfords premium as it was more beneficial to me and I’d actually save money over the year with it. Quick easy and fast. My only downside is the phone line for Halfords sends you to some call centre in another country, they are helpful but I’d rather speak to an in store colleague.
Quick service, job completed in 15 mins. single low beam bulb was fused, but changed both on recommendation. Most amazing part, I didn't knew that appointment is available for the same day for these small jobs. Next time, won't look outside for these small parts, straight away Halfords.
My husband and I had to visit as an emergency as we are from south wales, visiting Leeds for a concert. On the drive down we experienced an issue with the clutch. Turns out the car needed a replacement clutch, the man at the front desk managed to get the part and staff in to get the vehicle repaired the next day in time for us to travel back home at a reasonable time. The customer service was outstanding and super friendly! Thank you again for sorting so quick and without any stress! :)
Dan was a hero this eve when I rocked up at halfords south Leeds with a snapped break cable. He willingly changed it there and then and all for a fiver! What a service … kind man
Sadly Halfords never fail to disappoint. This service took 17 days & 3 extra phone calls to get the job done. Technician on holiday, need to order a brake bleed kit because the store one was broken/lost & a backlog of work were the reasons given. The brakes still feel very spongy & on the job sheet it says "bleed front & rear brakes" - N/A!? Halfords are unable to book a bike in for a specific date & get the job done unlike their car service centre. The Halfords business model does not work for servicing or repairing bikes, probably due to lack of trained/qualified staff. I was going to renew my bike service package but have decided against it - too many disappointments & I cannot be without a bike for 10 or 17 days.
I dont usually leave bad reviews, but I am going to do now to help others avoid the bad (or lack of) service we had there. We needed a special part to get our car pass MOT, and we had ordered it a week in advance and they assured as it will arrive in a week’s time. We got there in a week’s time and the part was nowhere to be seen, and they told us first they did not get the part at all, later that the supplier sent the wrong part and you can imagine.. they told us we need to wait another week (bear in mind its Xmas period). All this time we could not use our car, and we had to rent a car to go to our jobs (public transportation strikes ongoing and our jobs are an hour away) On top of that the price they quoted us was already a few hundred pounds. So we get the car from them and we find another garage south of leeds, we get the car there next day, and the mechanic not only found the part, but fitted it, MOTed our car in a matter of 3 hours! And in a fraction of the price!
Many thanks to Joe at this branch for helping me with a battery issue and taking it to my van… I’ve got a bad back so couldn’t lift it. He did very well explaing some technical details about batteries. Senior management take note, this is a good employee who deserves recognition and progression – give him the opportunities in the company that he deserves.
Serviced and repaired my bmw 116d. Worked on my car promptly able to collect it at end of the day. Gave me advice regarding new breaks and tyres. Seem like a good friendly bunch too. Thank You
