“I took my son's bike for a service along with a creaking bottom bracket. I choose them based on the fact that our bike is a giant bike and the service cost the same as elsewhere. They carried out the service and fixed the creaking at no additional cost. Excellent customer service, very reasonable costs, very knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend using Halifax giant.”

Great member of the team and was worthy of a great review! We didn't catch his name (tall, young lad) but please let him know how brilliant he was!”
“My son bought a new full suspension enduro bike last week. (Well new to him). I wanted to make sure it was sorted mechanically for him to ride safely. So I contacted Steve via text, with details of both his bike and mine, also a full suspension mountainbike. I do know a little about full suspension bikes but wanted professionals opinion! Steve replied very quickly on the same day (14/08/24) and he sorted out for collection of both bikes that night. We discussed what I’d like done to both bikes at the time of collection . I opted for a Level 2 service on both bikes. I informed Steve that I would like all parts replacing that needed to be. It was agreed that Steve would contact me ASAP as soon as he found something that needed replacing so that I could authorise or decline that fix, so to speak. The next day, 15/08/24, true to his word Steve contacted me with the issues he’d found so far. He was very clear about what needed doing at this point, and left the decision to go ahead with any parts needed, to me. At no time did I feel he was pressuring me into getting things done and it was all my decision to go ahead. This a a brief list of the work Steve did on my son’s bike. New dropper post. New cassette and chain. Full set of pivot linkage bearings. Headset bearings. Front wheel bearings. New bottom bracket. Not a compete list! And that not including the work done on my bike! Both bikes were ready by the following Tuesday, 20/08/24. Due to the weekend in between and having to order parts in, this was an incredibly quick and efficient turnaround, considering the large amount of work he eventually did on both bikes! (See above) We agreed a drop off of the bikes on Thursday 22/08/24, first thing in the morning as that suited both of us best. On arrival Steve talked me through all of the work he’d done on both bikes, one at a time. Both bikes now feel and ride like new! Smooth as silk and much better than I thought they would be! Steve obviously knows what he’s doing! He was professional, knowledgable and courteous throughout the whole process! Was it expensive for both bikes? Yes, but the replacing of parts was my decision totally and as previously mentioned, there was never any pressure from Steve to go ahead with some of the repairs. So now, both me and my son have two perfect bikes for when we go riding together! Would I recommend Steve and Biking Fix? That’s an absolute no brainer! Totally and utterly YES! If you want your bike sorted by one of the best…. Steve’s your man! Here’s to the next time I see you Steve! Thanks for everything! G”
“28.11.25 - I collected the new number plates I had ordered today after someone had kindly pulled them off and left them on the road outside my house. A neighbour had glued them back on for me with "no nails" and they were cracked, so it was difficult for the young men who served me to use these old plates to measure up the new ones (and get the screws in the right place). I said they could glue them on if it was easier but they said no, they would try to screw them on first, as this makes them more secure. The store was really busy, with a constant queue (hence having to swap this job between them), but they remained calm, professional and helpful. I hope these two young men are being paid a decent wage, as they are a credit to Halfords. I will definitely go back to this store if I need help in future.”

“The BIGGEST thank you to Tom who helped me with ski boots - the most patient & friendly member of staff I could have hoped to come across. Not only this, but he was extremely knowledgeable about ski boots, the correct fits, and even the sport itself. Nothing was too much, despite trying on and needing him to adjust multiple pairs of boots. Tom is an absolute asset to the store - thank you so much.”

“I wanted my wheelchair wheels repairing and after going to a mobility shop in Shelby who had no idea what to do and after a phone call told me it would be £160. I took it to J’s who within 10 minutes replaced the inner tubes at a cost of £21, the staff were brilliant from answering my enquiry email to completing the job. Thank you It makes a massive difference to my mobility”

“Took a bike in due to a minor fault, this was a walk in with no prior booking. The staff were great, the gentleman behind the counter who I think may have been called Rob, looked at the bike straight away and diagnosed the fault. He asked if I could leave the bike with him and within an hour he called me back to say it was ready to collect. This was all done at an extremely good price and the service could not have been better!”
“Excellent and thorough service for my bike. Got there on my appointment time and immediately got served, bit of a tricky issue but eliminated all possibilities..found the problem and quickly fixed it. In the process gave my bike a quick MOT all for a fraction of the cost of most bike shops.”

“Absolutely amazing service. Made the mistake of buying an ebike from a competitor bike store in Wakefield who completely fluffed up the setup to the point my new £9000 bike was dangerous and unrideable. Luke was recommended at Cycle Gear in Halifax so I travelled over and they sorted everything out like a Formula 1 team. So fast and thorough. I have now found a great store to look after my bike problems and servicing for the future. Luke is the king of bike mechanics, if there was a world champion at fixing bikes it would be Luke not Joe. Great team, great store, Luke 10 out of 10, Joe 9.5 out of 10.”

“I recently took my old bike to halfords to get some repairs done. On arrival I was greeted with friendly staff who were very helpful and took time to look at my bike and discus my options and was told it wasn't viable to repair and would cost as much as to purchase a pre loved bike at there store. I was informed of my options and best bike for me and my use. Apon this I was happy to purchase a bike from halfords. I was informed that they would check it over for me and make any adjustments and add some additional accessories to it for me. Within an hour I got a call to say that it's ready for collection. I'm so pleased with my bike and very fortunate to have have a place near me that I can go for future repairs and accessories and sound advice and good value. Staff are always there to help in any way they can. I can strongly recommend halfords to anyone.”

“I've used Wilco at Bramley numerous times, however today I went to buy a replacement oil cap for my Peugeot 2008 as it had come loose and fallen off, I drove down thinking this was OK but should have realised this was doing more damage to my car. The part had to be ordered in as I wanted it to be a genuine peugeot part, Chris ordered the part, picked it up and delivered it to my door as I couldn't drive. This is what you would call going above and beyond, Excellent customer service hence the 5 star review. All I can say is Thank you for today it will not be forgotten.”
