    The BIGGEST thank you to Tom who helped me with ski boots - the most patient & friendly member of staff I could have hoped to come across. Not only this, but he was extremely knowledgeable about ski boots, the correct fits, and even the sport itself. Nothing was too much, despite trying on and needing him to adjust multiple pairs of boots. Tom is an absolute asset to the store - thank you so much.

    A regular customer at Decathlon and the staff are always so lovely and helpful. Always smiling and greeting you as soon as you walk in and are there to help with any questions you may have. Makes me enjoy the shop more that my dog loves visiting and always gets a treat and lots of attention.

    I have been twice to Decathlon recently. Friday and tonight Tuesday 20th of October to buy some football equipment for my grandson. Rolon served me both time. What a lovely man. He helped me with every thing, suggesting different things. He was brilliant. He had all the time in the world to help me, which is not always the case. My grandson talks all the time, none stop asking all sorts of questions and Rolon chatted to him and was happy to do so. Thank you Rolon. You are a credit to the store. All the staff have always been so helpful each and every time, but this young man was fantastic. Thank you Rolon.

    Great store, very nicely laid out and easy to find what you want. Lots of range to suit all budgets, from the basic stuff to the high-tech gear. My main issue is with the staffing levels. I went recently and had a problem at the self check out and needed staff assistance. Nobody at the tills, nobody in the wee room behind the tills and only one member on the ground floor who was already with another customer. It really needs a button, or someway to alert staff that they are needed at the checkouts rather than having to go and hunt them down.

    I do like Decathlon stores and was so excited to learn a new store was opening in York. It has a great range of sports gear covered from Cycling to swimming, paddle boarding, horse riding, hiking. football and tennis to name a few! The store itself is very spacious though I did notice there is not as great a range of stock as in Leeds for example. Well worth a visit, great quality gear at a great price what’s not to like!
