We had a delicious three course lunch here on my wife’s birthday. The venue was booked up until the day before when I was fortunate enough to get a cancellation and I can see why. We were offered a set menu but this was not to its detriment, with plenty of variety available to select from. The food was delicious, particularly the incredible crème brûlée which might be the best I’ve had in the local area. Staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing in any way, contributing to the pleasant overall atmosphere. We also felt the pricing was very reasonable. We will definitely look to come back!

Met friends there 20th Dec for lunch. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown to where our friends were. Had time for a drink and look at the festive menu before ordering, then shown to our table. The Christmas music was just at the right volume and the atmosphere was festive. The food was excellent, very well presented and hot. Had 3 courses and couldn’t fault any of them. We were recommended a great bottle of wine to have with the food. We were not rushed and chose to share a cheese platter and further drinks and coffee, it was very relaxing. Will definitely go again.

What a fantastic find! We were greeted by very welcoming staff and shown to our table in the clean and well-decorated restaurant. Immediately asked for our drinks order which came quickly. Given time to choose our food; service was unhurried but not unduly slow. Presentation and taste was excellent, service friendly and very professional. The house ale is good. All in all an excellent experience, we've been twice and will definitely return.

Just been for a Sunday lunch at The Bluebell in Blaxton. We were undecided of where to eat and fancied trying somewhere new. Glad we did as we were not disappointed. My hubby had the crayfish for starter & we both had the ribeye beef with extras of cauliflower cheese & stuffing (didn't get a photo of the sides). For dessert I had the dark chocolate delice. Staff were welcoming & service was quick. All of the food was amazing, the beef cooked to perfection and the gravy was another level would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning.

Went to the Blue Bell today with friends. Really pleasantly surprised, the food was outstanding, beautifully presented and so full of flavour. The staff were really friendly and professional. We certainly will be going back

Staff are abysmal with rotten attitudes. The food is overpriced and undercooked. I once paid near £6 for a pizza and got a small undercooked Chicago town mini frozen pizza. On top of the disgusting food and poor service, the amount of known offenders that are granted access to that pub every night is vile. Blue Bell is a low tier pub with scam raffles and no morals whatsoever. Don’t waste your time

The staff deserve the rating because they are so attentive, friendly, and helpful. We visited for Sunday lunch. We phoned beforehand to ask about a vegan lunch. The chef welcomed feedback and popped over to see if we were enjoying our meals. We were offered a choice of seats, and the bill was reasonable.

Newly refurbished. Bar staff great. Be nice if they had a greater selection of real ale on.
