   Sunday lunch for my father’s 80th birthday. Wonderful food, home cooked and plentiful beyond expectations. All washed down with a fine pint of Timothy Taylor’s. Thank you we had a great time and it was great value.

   It was fantastic no pool no fruit machine no loud music... Real fire place authentic decor the chief cook's and proper steak lots of veg and potatoes the landlady was polite and courteous you have to go, you'll get that nostalgia feeling all over again worth every penny and some.

   Just called in for a meal - this is what pubs should be like. A traditional place; an open fire and serving good ale and proper home cooked food - my steak pie was fabulous and served with a boiled potatoes, peas and gravy (other choices available). First time here but it won't be our last. It's well worth a visit

   Quiet when we visited, but the staff were welcoming and pleasant. Happy with us taking our dogs in, and they got treats too. Had a lovely meal, tasty and piping hot. Will definitely visit again when we are up this way. Thanks guys

   Traditional village pub with a warm welcome. Food excellent, good home cooked menu I had the 10 ounce steak and trimmings tomato and mushrooms are hiding under the chips, cooked as requested. Dogs welcome. If eating booking is advisable.
