We only dropped in as we were passing and we are very glad we did. The food is really good indeed, steak pie is fantastic. The staff are very friendly, polite and quick. Overall we will definitely eat there again.

Can't fault this place at all. Staff were really attentive and food is absolutely delicious! I got introduced to cheese sauce on my roast dinner for first time as a southerner. Let's just say I was very impressed indeed and didn't realise what I've been missing all this time on my roasts! Highly recommended place for pub lunch and lovely Yorkshire Cask Ales!
A late Saturday lunch in July was mixed; my husband enjoyed his liver and mash, but my prawn salad was disappointing with dry prawns and a lackluster salad. I left most of it uneaten. The service was very good, but recent visits haven't been as good as before.
Dogs allowed in the tap room where you can eat as well as the restaurant side. Lovely home cooked food, great service, clean and traditional

Excellent service I had two courses the Soup of the day and a main. Portion sizes are huge and could not finish my chips on the main. Everything was hot and to standard. I really enjoyed my time their.
