   We visited Maple Tree in early November. Upon arrival it wasn’t too busy there were a few people in but we could easily find a table. We looked through the menu and at the time of our visit a festive menu was on the table to look through. Seeing as it was on the table we assumed we could order from it however once reaching the bar to place the order we were told it wasn’t available to order from. Not entirely sure why it was on the table if you can’t order from it, must have been an early “Christmas decoration”. This was a downside as the man behind the bar didn’t really explain why it was there just that it was and it was to show you what you could order nearer to Christmas? Having placed an order for food and drinks it didn’t take too long before the food came out. The lady who served us was very pleasant, perhaps she heard my disappointment when questioning the Christmas menu so our experience did improve from there. The food was decent enough typical pub grub opted for the hunters chicken and it was nice. While at the Maple Tree the atmosphere was okay it wasn’t too loud so it allowed us to chat freely. My overall experience of the pub was okay, we tend to use the pub now and again as it’s a local to us. I do think however the menu choices have gone a bit downhill over the years, but it’s alright if you want a quick bite to eat of pub grub and not expecting anything amazing. During our visit some staff members were nice but others could improve unless we caught them on an off day. We will still continue our visits now and again as it’s for convenience more than anything.

   I had a fantastic experience at this pub! The food was absolutely excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really tell there’s been a positive change lately. The new General Manager, Andy, is doing an amazing job. He’s friendly, attentive, and has brought a great atmosphere to the place. Highly recommend stopping by you won’t be disappointed!

   A brilliant local pub with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The team always makes you feel right at home, and there’s a real sense that they care about keeping things lively for the community. It’s great to see so much being planned over Christmas — the place already feels festive, and you can tell they’ve put real thought into creating something special for everyone. I’m especially looking forward to the comedy night in January. If it’s anything like their past events, it’s going to be a fantastic evening. A perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy what a proper local should be.

   We recently visited The Maple Tree in Doncaster, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The food and service was brilliant, every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The pub itself was clean and had comfortable atmosphere that made it perfect for both families and couples alike. We loved that there was an outdoor play area for the kids, which gave them a chance to burn off some energy while we relaxed. Inside, we played a free game of darts (great fun!) and would have had a go at pool too, but it looked like the pub’s pool team were in the middle of a match — maybe next time! For food, we ordered freshly made pizzas, and the kids were thrilled to watch them being cooked right in front of us. They came out perfectly hot, tasty, and full of flavour. Another lovely touch was the dog station, which we saw a few visitors making use of. It’s great to see such a family- and pet-friendly environment. Overall, it was a great all-round visit — excellent food, superb service, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

   It was a lovely time and experience the food was was lovely I highly recommended going here as they are accommodative and the wait for the food isn’t that long. This is an excellent place to go with families and the food is affordable! All in all I definitely recommended to anyone reading this to go and visit the maple Tree. It is very clean and tidy and has a lovely atmosphere. Kerry the manager served us and was constantly ensuring we had everything we needed. Nardia the chef the food was absolutely wonderful with beautiful presentation and they are lovely to talk to they bring such a warm kind hearted feeling to the pub and maple tree is a wonderful place to be and eat

   Never been before, I had to kill some time and continue to work before picking my mum up after an op at the hospital. I found the dining room well laid out clean and inviting. Found a table decided to order at the bar lovely gentleman took my order, food came quite quickly and was hot and delicious. I found it a perfect place to set up my office for the afternoon.

   I went for a drink with my son, the atmosphere was pretty good, my son bought a sliced sailor merry and coke and couldn't believe it was £5.60. I had a pint of Moretti at £5.20 which tasted disgusting! I took it straight back to the bar and the bar staff replaced it with another without question. This 2nd pint was just as bad as the first, so I have up at that point. Really disappointing. It was a lovely pub before it changed to a Generous George.

   Needed a quick lunch break and this perfectly located pub had some great food offers on. I was served by Mel and Dave who were very friendly staff and the food itself was great. 10/10 would recommend coming to this clean, polite and welcoming establishment.

1. Yorkshire Diners Club ★★★☆☆

   Called for a meal after a busy shopping trip, so we were quite hungry. Sadly the meals are a bit small. Quality isn't bad, but you go away still hungry. We came home and had a bacon sandwich! Prices aren't bad, but we won't be going back anytime soon.
