Absolutely shocking service from this GP try and book and appointment with them and get told it's going to be 13 days before you can see a GP. All the ever say is call 101/111. What the point in having a GP if you can't see one. Sort it out Gill Medical
Best medical center so far that I have been too, in terms of quick response to medical concerns, easily accessible doctors with efficient abilities to sort out repeated prescriptions.
I have been a patient at this surgery since Dr. Gill himself and Dr. Cleator were doctors here. I used to get an appointment straight away. But now, my own doctors after 52 years are telling me that I maybe will have to wait a few weeks for a appointment. How times have changed. The staff are very helpful and will try and help with your needs.
Very poor reception, unhelpful and rude. Disorganised and disinterested, frequently calling for appointments to be told to come back or call back the next day or in two weeks, when doing so fobbed off again. Little care or customer service, am now changing providers. Used to be a good surgery but cannot put up with it anymore.
The Gill Medical Centre staff go above and beyond to offer help and support. The reception team always do there best to find appointments or signpost to the most appropriate support. The nurses are brilliant and have lots of experience and every GP in this practice listens and are compassionate. I often feel smug when people complain about their GP and I get to say how great mine are, even under the pressures GP surgeries now face!
Emailed via their website on the weekend about a non urgent problem. Got a call Monday morning with an appointment that morning. Reception were helpful and printed out part of my son's medical record there and then.
The best care I've ever met, the receptionists are very nice and helpful, and the nurses who care about the well-being of the patient, the doctor also explained to me exactly what further actions to take with my health 5/5 for the entire clinic staff
Never had any problems with the surgery , I see nurse Rebecca mainly & I am always given a friendly professional service from Rebecca. That said I have also seen a few gp's & can't praise them enough to, & not forgetting the reception staff they are also helpful & friendly.
My doctor is absolutely lovely, really helpful and professional. However, the GP receptionists are rude, impolite and incredibly unhelpful. I have spoken to them on numerous occasions, and left the conversation feeling really upset, frustrated and helpless.
Ordinarily I don't have much trouble with this surgery and would praise it highly having been with them for a very long time but I just called to try and book an appointment that the surgery texted me telling me to book. I got absolutely appalling phone manner from the receptionist, who kept interrupting me, and was incredibly rude. Staff need retraining on their phone manner, which was the worst experience I've had by phone possibly for anything.
