Came first time for a Sunday Dinner after searching for good places with decent reviews. It is in a lovely setting especially if you want to go for a walk along the river before or after your meal or drinks. Had to wait a bit to get our initial orders in but after that the service was spot on and they were very friendly. We had a couple of the Sunday dinners, fish and chips and a kids meal. Everything was cooked very well and plates were cleaned!! For the Sunday dinners on the down side, I would have preferred more gravy but on the up side there were plenty of amazing Roast potatoes. The Fish and Chips seemed to be very popular with many people around us also having them. The chunky chips were apparently bang on!! Was priced well with a meal for 4 just over Β£100.

Great food, Great Service, Great Setting/Atmosphere. Very tasty ham and cheddar pie, salmon fishcakes and beef brisket burger. Glad to still experience a pub with service with a smile, humour and a 'nothing too much trouble' attitude. Well done.

What a lovely setting next to the canal. Dog friendly too. This was our second visit to The Boat Inn, the first was a drink only as there was only one chef on and the wait time was too long for us. However, a few days later we booked in for lunch. What an inviting venue. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We were served by Adrian who looked after our every need. The food was plentiful and delicious. My birthday was coming up, so we enjoyed a free bottle of Prosecco. Very nice indeed, thank you. Will we be back? Most definitely.

Disappointing steak! I travel all round the country with my job and love my steaks! I saw this beautiful pub/restaurant by the river and had to go! Staff were nice and polite and the restaurant was very nice! I ordered my 7oz fillet steak medium rare, the initial response to the meal arriving was how nice the steak looked , a beautiful char grill and a nice sear to it!!! But unfortunately it was medium… I’m happy to pay good money for a nicely cooked good cut of beef but when it’s over cooked it’s slightly disappointing especially when they are not that busy! Everything else about the place was lovely apart from the over cooked steak! Please try better next time guys!

A lovely place in a lovely setting which we visit often for a couple of drinks and always find the staff welcoming. The place is quaint and has a great outside area but at this time of the year, the multiple real fires inside are perfect! This time, we went for food and tried the festive menu. We had King Scallop & Prawn together with Oven-baked mushrooms for starter and Forestiere Chicken and Slow-cooked Pork Belly for the main and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavours were just stunning! We were happy to go with a staff recommendation for a bottle of Malbec to go with the meal which was perfect - thanks Alice. We have paid a lot more for a lot less in other places and also not had as attentive service so thank you to the Boat and we would highly recommend a visit to anybody who hasn't been.

Lovely little pub located at the bottom of a small valley next to a canal. Food was absolutely lovely, drinks the same. Very large court yard perfect for those ice cold drinks on a hot summers day. Spacious car park with disabled parking.

This establishment is very high end and well worth a visit for a meal or afternoon tea or simply a pint of cold beer. Very big pub with outside seating both back and front. Disabled friendly toilets on ground floor very accessible to all and everyone. The price of a small coke is Β£3.50 with I found to be a little expensive. The food is amazing and well done and tasty. It is situated on the banks fo a river so it is in a amazing location with good guaranteed parking. I fully endorse this establishment well worth a visit
